Something I really enjoy about Sam Reid as Lestat is that while Lestat has a lot of. hm. dignity? in his appearance, a lot of awareness about how he comes off and desire to make you see what he wants you to see, Sam Reid has absolutely none of that about playing the role. He is frequently willing to look completely ridiculous, and it really rounds the character out!

actors hanging off of each other constantly isn’t a sign that they’re fucking it’s a sign that they were once in a BFA program and never relearned normal boundaries. when actors are fucking and it’s complicated they won’t even stand in the same room with each other.

#i was in a student film recently where they had me holding hands with and gazing into the eyes of a man i had met 30 minutes ago #the boundaries are different!! there's a lot of intimacy & vulnerability happening right off the bat!#and then other times i'm just like 'yeah that is normal behavior with a really close friend'#(however. actors also often ARE fucking each other so have your fun)
