These are all for 9-1-1/buddie. I'm doing half WIPs I'm trying to write for @buddie-month and the other half are my published WIPs on ao3 that really need more attention 😅

🖊️ write me... – Buck finds out early on that Eddie is his soulmate when Eddie writes a reminder to himself on the back of his hand and it appears on the back of Buck's hand too. Eddie finds out about a year later, when Buck decides to write on his own arm, addressed to Eddie, to get around the no-contact rule during the lawsuit.

🧍🏼 tiny buck – Every time Buck's parents make him feel small, he shrinks in size, literally. No one knows until Buck's parents come into town and the truth about Daniel comes out. Eddie finds out when Buck shows up at his house, except now Buck fits into the palm of his hand, somehow.

🤠 cowboy eddie x ranch hand buck – Eddie needs a ranch hand, and Buck is the new guy in town looking for work. The working title's kind of self-explanatory here, I think 😅

🎭 The Devil In The Details – Actors Evan Buckley and Eddie Diaz meet on the set of Hen Wilson's new slasher movie The Devil In The Details and grow close over the course of filming.

💤 running from the daylight – Buck and Eddie have been dreaming about each other since they were kids, but they think they're nothing but dreams. They're in for a surprise when they meet on Eddie's first day at the 118.

🤕 fighting the memory (nothing worsens, nothing grows) – Buck gets into an accident during the lawsuit and forgets his memories of the last couple of years. Eddie finds out in the worst possible way.

“I’m Eddie,” the guy said, and oh. “Eddie Diaz? We’ve been… exchanging post cards.” “Y—yeah, we have.” Buck wet his lips and abruptly realised he was being a terrible host for a guy he’d been dying to meet the last few months. “Uh, come—come on in. I was just about to make coffee.” Eddie gave him a small smile. It looked… almost sad. “Coffee sounds great.”

T - Texts, emails, pictures—somehow, this article had everything. All the messages they’d exchanged since they’d started dating, the pictures they’d sent each other, the emails they’d started exchanging when they decided to be a little fancier, a little more romantic—it was all right there for the whole damn world to see.

R - Right. The other people Eddie was worried about—two people that Buck knew Eddie loved and held their opinions in high regard. Another reason why Eddie had been so hesitant, so scared to come out to them. Buck wet his lips and asked, “What did they say?”

U - u deserve to do this in ur own time whenever ur ready / no pressure / ill keep my hands and comments to myself until were alone / promise [texts]

S - Speaking of Chris, he misses you. And he’s not the only one. When are you coming back again? You’re missing quite a few movie nights, and it’s not the same without you. Besides, it’s my turn to plan a date, and I’ve got this great idea. I know you’ll love it. But you need to be here for that, so. Just let me know when you’re coming home.

T - Tonight was an anomaly, though. Instead of seeking noise, of seeking music, of seeking anything that could hide the loneliness he truly felt, he let the quiet settle as he made dinner, then as he sat down to eat, choosing to scroll through his phone instead. He was still keeping himself busy, but the suffocating silence he usually ran from was there, and this time, Buck wasn’t running. Instead, he was… sitting with it, just for a moment. Just for tonight.
