A\N: Book seven spoilers, angst, established relationship, mentions of death. Probably OOC.
Love.
You could say thatâs what it is. What you feelâthough itâs more complicated than that.
It wormed into your heart slowly blooming into something deep and relentless.
Late night walks, small acts of kindness, and quiet conversation.
It all quickly developed into more.
Small caresses, whispers of sweet words, and delicate laughter.
âMy dear, you are radiant.â His voice was soft, softer than anything youâve ever heard from him.
Your head rested on his shoulder, your gaze found his, the bright green soft and gentle.
âYou flatter me every time. My words are not as eloquent.â You smile.
âNonsense, itâs what you deserve.â
His lips brushed your forehead.
Moments like this had Malleus buried into your heart, and youâd done the same to him.
These fragile feelings became something solid and real. Something that you believed that would last foreverâthat could cast away even the darkess.
Well that was until recently.
Though perhaps it wasnât the darkness you were afraid of but what was in the darkness.
Something that would haunt you forever.
When his overblot happened you thought youâd finally got used to them happening.
You were wrong.
Not when it was someone who held your entire heart.
Not when the ink-like substance spread and swallowed every inch of light. The darkness all consuming.
Not when bodies began to fall into a deep slumber that you too were consumed by.
His overblot had brought about a long and arduous journey but you and the others eventually made it out after much effort.
But even in the waking world things fell apart.
You watched them fight his draconic form, you watched the life fade from Liliaâs eyes and watched his children mourn.
However you also saw that life return, which should have been a relief, and it was. ButâŚit was also terrifying, seeing something like life be brought back by such force. It made you tremble.
You watched Malleusâwho held so much of your heart, lose a part of himself to bring back Lilia.
After all of it was over you barely got to see him, only a short conversation before he was whisked away by S.T.Y.X.
But that terrifying feeling you had felt throughout everything didnât dissipate, not even after everything was over.
You were relieved of course, everyone you cared for was okay, everything was okay now.
It should be okayâit had to be okay.
It was when you finally saw him again you realized what this feeling wasârepulsion mixed with deep sated fear.
And he noticed, of course he did. One of his own greatest fears was real; his beloved feared him.
He reached for you like heâd done a thousand times before.
âMy dear-â His hand froze when you flinched, drawing away from his touch.
You hadnât meant too, but that intense fear screamed at you and you couldnât ignore it.
It pained you but what hurt more was the sheer heartbreak that flashed across his face.
He quickly smoothed it into something devastatingly neutral, even though his world was crumbling apart.
âIâm sorryâŚ..I know no words can console you. Just tell me what I should do.â He spoke softly, like he was afraid heâd scare you off.
You glanced at himâthen away, your voice trembling with emotion.
âIâŚ.just need some time.â You answered as steadily as you could.
âTimeâŚ.yes, I can do that. Whatever you need, Iâll do it.â He responded, his voice close to breaking.
Time could heal all, he thought.
But deep down you knewâtime wouldnât fix this, it never would.
A\N: You and Arthur go fishing on a quiet day. Short, probably OOC. Also I know nothing about fishing.
The weather was gorgeous, the sun bright and the clouds few.
Perfect weather to fish in.
So you practically begged Arthur to take you out. Honestly it was less about the actual fishing and more about finding an excuse to spend time with him.
He grumbled a bit, like usual but eventually obliged. Taking you down to the lake nearby the camp.
Heâd prepared a rod and some bait for you.
You carefully followed his movements, adjusting relatively quickly. Getting the hang of it easily.
It was quiet as the two of you stood shoulder to shoulder, enjoying the warm weather and the quiet lapping of the water.
You felt a tug on the line.
âOh! I think I got something.â
His gaze shifted to you, watching in case you needed any help.
But you succeed, reeling in a small fish.
âAw, this guy's little.â
âProbably best to throw emâ back.â He said, looking at the tiny fish on your line.
You unhooked the small fish and gently tossed it back into the lake.
At the same time something tugged on Arthurâs own line, when he reeled it in the fish was significantly larger than the one you had.
The two of you (Arthur) had managed to catch a few more for keeping.
As the sky deepened the two of you quietly walked back to camp, your shoulders brushing as you walked.
âWe should do this again, but without the fish.â You said, gaze landing on him.
He turned his head to look at you fully, one eyebrow raising.
âYou askinâ me on a date?â His voice gruff, slightly amused.
âYes, I am.â Your words firm and blunt.
You watch him glance away, your boldness clearly surprising him.
He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck.
âThen itâs aâŚdate.â He answered, his voice low.
Trey Clover, Ruggie Bucchi, Floyd Leech (Separate) x GN!Reader
A\N: Saying âI love youâ to these characters, established relationships. Might be ooc, short. Requests are open!
Trey Clover
It was a quiet afternoon, and you had been dragged into the bathroom of the Heartslabyul dorm.
You originally had been spending the afternoon with Trey, having casual conversation like you two usually do. At some point his love for dental care was brought up.
That leads to now in the bathroom, you watching him explain proper dental care that could rival Sebekâs father.
He held a toothbrush in hand.
âThis brand of toothbrush is the best, itâs got soft bristles but itâs great for working in groves. And this toothpasteâŚ.â
You watched him go on, the words barely registering. It was silly, yes, seeing your partner prattle on about dental care. But it was his love language and you loved watching him be so passionate over something.
For whatever reason maybe it was the sheer care in his eyes, but it made you speak abruptly.
âI love you.â
Three simple words, but they were filled with endless admiration.
It made him pause the brushing motions he was explaining, your suddenness catching him off guard. A faint tinge of pink dusted his cheeksâexpression turning a bit sheepish at your abruptness.
He cleared his throat, placing the toothbrush down.
âI love you too.â He responded, his full attention to you now.
âWas there any reason for your sudden delectation? He asked, a faint hint of amusement and curiosity in his voice.
âNo, just wanted to say it. I like seeing you so passionate about this.â
He chuckles, smile smile making his eyes crinkle,âWell, so proper flossingâŚ.â
Ruggie Bucchi
You carried a box of doughnuts into the Savanaclaw dormitory. It was a gift to your lovely partner as well as his favourite treat.
You had some money and they were selling them at a nearby bakery, so you thought youâd surprise him.
You found him working on a task in his dorm room.
âI come bearing gifts.â You declare as you enter, placing the box onto his desk with flare.
His ears perk up and his gaze is drawn to the box, the scent immediately catching his nose.
âFor me?â He asks, already opening the box.
âOf course, who else would they be for?â You laugh.
You watch him pick up the fresh and very enticing looking doughnut. Perfectly round and glazed.
âDonât mind if I do.â He says before sinking his teeth into the fluffy dough.
Your gaze tracks every flicker of enjoyment across his face, as he savours the sugary delight. Cute, you think as you simply watch him enjoy the simple treat.
Youâd buy him all the doughnuts in the world if it means getting to see him this happy.
So the words slip from your mouth without too much thought.
âI love you.â
He pauses his chewing, now on a second doughnut. He blinks one, twiceâthen a flush tints his cheeks and neck, but he regains composure quickly.
âShhehehe Iâm getting spoiled today.â He says with a grin. He picks up another doughnut, extending it to you.
âI love ya too.â He says as you take the sweet treat from his hand.
Floyd Leech
It was before his basketball game, which youâll admit was probably not the best time to abruptly announce your love. But it wasnât intentional.
You were seated in the front row of the bleachers, watching the team warm up, your gaze drawn to your partner who was clearly lavishing in the attention.
When they called for a break, giving some time before the start of the game, Floyd was already bounding over to you.
He was immediately rambling on about how happy he was that you were here, how he was going to win the game. You listened, admiring his excitement.
You smiled, nodding along. You loved listening to him like this, so it shouldnât have been a surprise when your sudden words came out.
âI love you.â
He paused, processing your words, when he did a grin appeared on his faceâshowing his sharp smile.
It was no surprise that you were immediately engulfed in a tight embrace that youâd know become used too.
âAw my shrimpy loves me,â He buried his face against your shoulder, âI love my shrimpy too.â
It took five of his teammates to pry him away from you and get him on the court in time. Youâve since been banded from any acts of love before a gameâmuch to his disappointment.
A\N: A small silly drabble while I try to cook up something bigger:) Requests are open!
Dinner at Diasomnia should have been normal, but you suppose that was wishful thinking.
Nothing has been normal since you ended up in a different world.
You have grown close to Malleus over the months, he has become a close friend in your life. Thus leading you to meet not only Lilia but the two knights always by his side, Silver and Sebek.
Silverâs quiet fierceness had drawn you to him, the two of you had grown quite close.
So dinner was much anticipated, the five of you sat around the table. Malleus at the head, with Silver and Sebek seated at either side, Lilia had taken the seat next to Sebek, leaving you seated next to Silver.
The clinking of silverware echoed along with some quiet chatter.
Everything was normal, until Liliaâs voice cut through peace.
âSo..you two are dating.â He states, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Silverâs fork stills.
You choke on a sip of water.
A faint flush spreads across Silverâs face.
Lilia only looks amused.
Sebekâs brows furrow and Malleus tilts his head.
Itâs quiet for a moment as you regain your composure, Silver gives you a small glance, checking if you're alright before speaking.
âYou knew?â Silver asks, shifting in his seat.
âWell of course, the way you two look at each other isnât exactly subtle.â Lilia responds, the amused smirk still on his face.
You only groan.
âWe were going to tell youâŚâ Silver starts.
âI get it, young love. You're both way more obvious than you realize.â He laughs.
Malleus smirks, he knew too of course (Lilia told him). Sebek only grumbles something under his breath, surprisingly quiet for once.
âWell at least we donât have to hide it anymoreâŚor make any announcements.â You sigh, glancing at Silver who gives you that soft smile that makes your heart flutter.
His knee brushes yours under the tableâa quiet show of affection and reassurance.
You think thatâs the end of this slightly mortifying conversation but that would be too easy.
âSo who confessed first?â Lilia asks, his elbows propped up on the table, his food abandonedâfar more interested in your relationship.
The two of you groan, before sharing another small affectionate glance.

A\N: This was inspired by Grimâs sleepwear card cuz I thought it was cute.
Part one
It was late in the evening, Ramshackle dorm was lively with the presence of the first years.
You have grown accustomed to their presence over the past few months, now a familiar constant in your life.
The group was currently staring at the boxes of pizza laid out on the living room table.
You watched, seated on one of the chairs sipping some apple juice that Epel had brought.
It was almost amusing how they pondered over what kind of pizza they wished to eat first.
Ace and Sebek chose first, the margarita pizza. You watched as Deuce chose a pizza with boiled eggs on top, then Jack picked deep dish one and Epel, a meat loverâs.
Ortho hovered close to you, watching alongside you; having fun just watching the group.
When the group had picked their pieces, you grabbed a slice of your choosing.
Grim had stacked a bunch of slices on top of each other, due to his inability to choose just one kind.
The group talked back and forth over food, as you observed quietly. They all fell silent when Sebek asked for a knife and fork.
As the group judged his choice of how he consumed pizza, you felt your lips twitch up, a small snort leaving you.
They glanced at you, a flicker of surprise before all falling into loud laughter that echoed through the room.
The night continued, a chaos filled one. You all ate too much food and watched nonsensical movies.
You had woken first when morning light filtered through the window.
You glanced at the group, sprawled around the living room. A small content smile was on your lips, these foolish first years had wormed their way into your once hollow heart.
Grim padded next to you, the fuzzball noting your expression.
âIt all flew by so fastâŚâ He said, you glanced down at him.
âMmâŚthen we should do it again sometime.â You said.
Grim looked a little shocked before grinning.
âYeah, youâre right!â
Your gaze fell back onto the group still sleeping away, before watching the sun rise outside. It flooded into the room as it rose, the group slowly stirring. Grim already forcing them to clean up.
You watched, a content smile on your face. For once feelings had come easily, no longer a wishful dreamâjust a group of rowdy teens that had thawed your once time frozen feelings.
Warnings: Descriptions of anxiety, a little angst.
It was agonizingly familiar.
The slow creeping dread, the tightness in your chest, the tremble in your fingers.
The familiar weight of anxiety.
A constant in your life, it made no exception nor did it accept any sort of reason.
It had a vice grip on you.
Well today was just the same as any other, the same stress of being in a different world mixed with school assignments and the fifty other tasks on your plate.
Maybe it was the school work. Maybe the long list of chores. Maybe the rowdy flaming cat at your side. Or the random naggings of your âoh so graciousâ headmage.
Whatever it was had your anxiety rearing its vicious head.
Even whilst trying to focus on the conversation of your friends you felt a tightness in your chest, like your lungs refused to expand fully.
A subtle tingling in your hands, mixed with a feeling of dread in your stomach. Leaving you mostly tuning out of the conversation as your mind continued to spin.
It was like a never ending carousel.
It didnât matter that you knew rationally everything would be okay or how many times you listed off different colours you could seeâit persisted nonetheless.
The irrational fears and what ifs followed you all the way back to your dorm, leaving you exhausted and on edge.
As the sky changed colours you found yourself outside, in the quiet courtyard of Ramshackle. In hopes of finally being able to get enough air into your lungs.
You saw the flicker of green lights first, then his appearance. His visits to Ramshackle were common, the fae was a steady presence.
When his gaze landed on yours his expression shifted, as if sensing your distress.
âChild of man, you seem troubled. Are you alright?â
He asked, his voice was filled with quiet concern.
You felt your chest squeeze at the concern, the feelings youâve been trying to rein in threatening to spill over. You swallow trying to collect yourself, you knew lying would be futile to someone so attuned to your feelings.
âIâŚ.noâŚIâm not.â Your voice trembled at the quiet admission, the weight of your anxiety almost crushing. Your hands trembled at your side as you watched his expression flicker with concern.
He took a step closer. âHas something happened? He asked, trying to decipher the root of your distress.
Your gaze flicked up to his.
âIâm justâŚ.overwhelmed. So much is happening, it makes my chest tight like I canât breathe. I know Iâll be okay but part of me believes that everything will go horribly wrong.â You rambled. You watched him nod, the gears turning in his head.
He extended an arm, gesturing to you to take it. When you did, you two began to walk a familiar path. He was quiet for a moment.
âThere is still much Iâm learning, but I think I can understand how you feel,â he began. âI feel the same when Iâm around others, every time I scare them off I feel my heart sink.â He explains, his voice contemplative.
You stared at him, a little shocked that someone like him felt nervous, but it was also a little comforting.
He glanced down at you. âI wish I could do more to bring you comfort, so if you ever need me I shall answer any call.â He said, his eyes were filled with a soft devotion.
His words and soft expression made something loosen in your chest.
âThank you Tsunotarou. I think I feel a bit better.â Your gaze met his, watching as relief flickered in his eyes.
A small smile spread across his face.
âIâm glad.â He said quietly. âShall we continue our usual stroll?â
âMhm, Iâd like that.â
As night creeped in, the two of you talked, falling into your usual conversations. It was familiar and comforting.
And even though that fear still lingered on your chestâyou could finally breathe a bit easier because everything would be okay.
A\N: I hope you enjoyed! Feel free to make requests if you have any.
When you wake in the morning, heâs there, on his side; with a gaze full of love.
When you have breakfast heâs at the table, sat across from you as you two chat about everything.
You see him when you tend to your chores, he leans against something, a lopsided smile on his face as he gazes at you.
You see him when out on the town, he walks by your side.
He grumbles when you pick out different outfits for him, but gruffly compliments you when itâs your turn.
You see him at the bar, a glass of beer in one hand, cards in the other.
You see him when you come across a new flower, heâs already opening his journal, sketching the flower.
You see him tending to his horse with gentle care, always carrying treats on him.
And you see him at the end of the day.
When your changing he wraps his arms around your waist and rests his head on your shoulder. You feel his tension slip away as he places a gentle kiss on your shoulder. The evening full of quiet affection.
Heâs everywhere you go, you see him in shop, in fields, in your home, and in other people.
But, heâs not really thereâheâs been gone for a year.
Arthurâs death hurt you in ways that words canât describe. Even though heâs gone you see him everywhere you go.
Sometimes you catch yourself waiting for him or making two portions.
Youâll never stop seeing him, but that pain in your chest will gradually dull.
But sometimes youâll set out an extra drink and not feel like a fool.
A/N: Just a short fluffy drabble inspired by a prompt I saw on Pinterest.
Youâve lost count of how many years itâs been. Time slowly lost all meaning as your life failed to wither. The feelings you once had also faded with time, along with anyone you held any emotions towards.
But now something was different, you found yourself in a different world, with new people and new things.
One of those new things was the weird beast that was now attached to your side all the time. With fluffy fur and flaming ears Grim had found his way into your life, along with two trouble prone teens.
On one lazy afternoon you stood in ramshackle, the voices of Grim, Ace, and Deuce carried through the old dorm.
You leaned against the doorframe to the kitchen, watching as they argued over the baking of cookies.
âGrim, stop eating the cookie dough!â Deuce yelled, as he tried to stop the cat-beast.
âGet your grubby paws outta here!â Ace shouted, as Grim dodged Deuce, moving to try and grab a chunk of dough with his paws.
You watched as they shouted and Grim mocked them, baking utensils clattered to the floor as they tried to stop the dough stealing gremlin.
The two stopped when they noticed your presence in the doorway.
âJeez, could you help us out?â Ace grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. âHeâs your cat.â
That caught Grim's attention, stopping his havoc.
âI am not a cat!â He shouted.
You stepped into the kitchen, moving to scoop Grim into your arms, he grumbled but didnât fight. You looked down at him, poking his fuzzy head.
âEnough stealing cookie dough, at least wait until theyâre baked.â You scolded lightly, a small smile creeped onto your face.
You looked up when you heard the clatter of a spoon, Deuce had dropped it.
âYou just smiledâŚâ Ace muttered, wearing the same shocked expression as Deuce.
You glanced between the two of them, a little confused. âYeah, and?â
âN-nothingâŚit's just that you almost never smileâŚâ Deuce mumbled.
âHey, itâs not a bad look on you.â Ace teased, a bright smile now on his face as he bumped your shoulder.
The oven beeping caught all your guys' attention.
âWe should finish these cookies.â You said as you placed Grim down, moving to help the two with the dough.
Despite the chaos of your new situation, it was surprisingly fun; you couldnât stop the warmth from blooming in your chest as the three bickered some more while you waited.
As you pulled freshly baked cookies from the oven you realized that maybe your emotions werenât gone like your mortalityâmaybe you just needed to learn how to feel again.
And maybe all it would take was two troublemaking freshmen and a fire breathing direbeast.
Completely captivated by her dazzling light as her voice echoed through the arena.
Even so your fingers moved across the keys in time with the beat. Despite the loud crowd your sole focus was on the keys beneath your finger tips, each note a delicate dance of rhythm.
You had practiced into the late hours of the night, making sure it was perfect. Because she deserved nothing short of perfection. It was the only way you could repay her.
You probably wouldâve given up if not for her. When you were the verge of tossing your dreams away she appeared. As radiant as the starsâthe sun to your moon.
She opened a path for you to continue your passion, to allow your fingers to dance upon these keys. It brought you great satisfaction to be by her side as she shined.
Your finger hit the last note and the crowd erupted into cheers. At one point you caught her gaze as she sent you a smile that made your stomach do flips.
Now with the adrenaline of the night worn off you sat outside, leaned against a wall and watching the stars.
You glanced over your shoulder when you heard familiar footsteps. Robin stepped beside you, her green eyes flicking from your face to the stars.
âYour playing was wonderful, as always.â She said, a soft smile on her face.
âThanks! You were amazing too, but Iâm sure youâve heard that already.â You replied with a small chuckle, she was no stranger to compliments.
She hummed, âYeah, but itâs different when itâs you.â
âHow so?â You tilted your head.
âI just feel like you see me differently, like itâs more than a simple compliment, itâs special.â
You blinked, did she know?? You had been quiet about it, trying to keep your adoration buried in fear of overwhelming her. But it seems you had underestimated her.
Her gaze landed on yours and you could feel your face heat up.
You rubbed the back of your neck, âI mean tons of people love youâŚa compliment from me shouldnât feel that special.â You shifted your gaze back to the starry sky.
But your attention was quickly drawn back to her when she laughed, her face lighting up; eyes crinkling.
âIâŚwhat are you laughing at? What did I say?â You questioned, flustered and confused by her laughter.
She covered her laughter with her hand.
âNothing, I just remembered how glad I am to have you by my side.â She said as her laughter died down into a small smile.
Your gaze shifted back to the stars, cheeks burning.
âYou really enjoy teasing me, donât you?â You grumbled, though not really upset.
âHm, just a little.â
You could feel her gaze on you before it shifted up to the stars you were gazing upon. You felt her shift, her shoulder touching yours as the two of you enjoyed the quiet moment.
In that moment you knew; for as long as your hands shall dance upon keys, they are hersâso that her light will never fade and her song will always flourish.

Pairing: Idia Shroud x Reader (Romantic or Platonic)
A/N: A short silly drabble because I feel like NRC would be hell to navigate.
You were lost.
And of all places it happened to be the Night Raven Collage library.
This was not the first time such a thing had occurred but it certainly was the worst.
At a glance the library was seemingly harmless, however whatever magic that was cast on itâmade it like a maze.
Youâd walked up and down the same exact isle about three times now.
This had started as a simple trip to the library to aid you in the upcoming history test for Treinâs class, but now you were lost and alone. And of course your fuzzy companion was no where to be seen.
It was a total bust, and youâd only found one book that wasnât completely incomprehensible.
You sighed into your hand, rubbing your temples before deciding on a new strategy. Certainly there was a pattern to this maze of a library or someone around somewhere.
So you walked and walked and walked. Calling out in hopes of finding other signs of life.
âYouâve got to be kidding me.â You huffed, leaning against a shelf as your frustration boiled over.
âHello! Is anyone there?â You called out again, how big exactly was this library anyway.
You grumbled and started again, walking to the right around another set of bookshelves towards the right.
âCan anyone hearââ âYouâre going the wrong way.â A voice cut you off.
You paused, wiping to look aroundâbut the area was empty.
The voice sighed.
âYou should go leftâŚthen take three rightsâŚjeez what a noob.â The voice sounded tired, like it was bored by this situation.
You glanced around, still no sign of life.
It was a ghost, it had to be.
You were no stranger to ghosts since your arrival here at NRC, but you werenât quite expecting one to help you out of this library maze. Or that it would be soâŚrudeâŚand what did it mean by noob??
Whatever thatâs not the point right now, the point was you could finally get out of this place. You took a left, then paused.
âUmâŚthank you ...uh library ghost.â You said before moving quickly down the isles in hopes of freedom.
On your last right you made it back to the main area of the library. You let out a sigh of relief.
Your fuzzy companion jumped into your arms, almost knocking the book from your hand.
âWhere have you been hench-human, Iâm starvinâ Grim complained.
You simply sighed, guess he didnât suffer through the library maze.
âAlright alright, calm down. I was just grabbing a book so we donât fail this history test.â You responded, setting the furball onto the floor.
âCome on, I think Iâm sick of looking at books.â You grumbled, as he sauntered beside you rambling on about tuna.
You gave one last glance at the library before leaving, with the hope that would never happen again.
A floating tablet lingered in one of the book isles, mumbling.
âLibrary ghostâŚwhat sort of lame name is that? JeezâŚâ He mumbled.
On the other end Idia sat in his room, looking at the screen, the ramshackle prefect he thoughtâmaybe you werenât just a noob after all.
âTill Death Do Us Part, For We Shall Reunite In Eternityâ
Pairing: Lilia Vanrouge x Mortal!Reader (Silver, Sebek, Malleus Platonically)
A/N: This was fun to write, I like writing angst. I hope itâs not too OOC.
Warnings: Angst, death/dying
You knew this day would come when you fell in love with an immortal fae. It was inevitable, a fate no human could escape. However it was more painful than the ache in your bones and the decay of your mind. To part with your beloved was a fate worse than death.
Death which was staring you down, waiting as the last of your life slowly withered away.
Lilia cradled your face in his hands, smooth and youthfulâa stark contrast to your wrinkled face. But that didnât matter, it never did, not to him who loved you to your soul.
You knew your life was ending, as you had spent many years with your beloved. Even taking in a baby, now that baby had grown into a fine gentleman.
Silver stood behind his father who was seated next to your bedside. He looked older than his father now but he would always be your baby. His face was downturned, his expression wrought with sadness.
Near the door stood Sebek, he had also grown into a fine gentlemanâa knight who stood by the current King. Malleus who you and Lilia cared for much like a son was now a grand ruler. But now both their faces held the same grim expressions.
Lilia brushed his thumb across your wrinkled cheek. His touch was gentle, but you could feel the slight tremble of his hand. You gave him a weak smile.
âIâmâŚreturning to the stars.â You rasped.
âI know.â
âI love you more than anything.â
âI know.â His voice shook, thumb brushing a tear from your cheek.
âYou neednât be scared,â He whispered as if reading your thoughts. âYou wonât be alone for long my dear.â
You gave a weary smile, though an immortal fae he too was reaching the end. With his magic mostly gone, he too would return to the stars soon.
Your trembling hand wrapped around his as he brought his forehead to rest against yours, closing his eyes.
âI love you my dear.â He whispered, as your own eyes closed.
You relaxed into his quiet embrace as your life drew closer to death.
Lilia listened as your heart slowed, as you drew your final breath.
His entire world disappeared in an instant, you were goneâand so was half his heart.
He felt Silver place a shaking hand on his shoulder, he could hear Sebekâs quiet sobs as Malleusâ footsteps faded down the hall.
Lilia didnât let you go, âIâll be with you soon, my dear.â He whispered as tears dripped down his face.
He kept his word, he did not make you wait. It was not long after your passing that he too returned to the stars.
A short fluffy Arthur drabble that happened in a dream :)
It was well into the night, the Bastille Saloon was quiet, most having gone to sleep by now. Not Arthur, noâhe was wide awake, his thoughts occupied by one thing.
You.
He sat on the bed, sheets pooled around his torso as he gazed at your sleeping form. The steady rise and fall of your chest, the way you curled around the sheets.
He stiffened when he noticed you stir, lashes fluttering, breath changing. You blinked, eyes hazy, mind addled by sleep. You noticed him awake, his gaze on you.
âCanât sleep?â You mumbled, voice laced with sleep.
He glanced away, the slight shift in his expression revealed his embarrassment after getting caught staring.
âNo, just thinkinââ He muttered. Your brows furrowed as you shifted, the bliss of sleep slowly fading and now replaced by concern.
âAbout?â You prompted, worried something was bothering him.
His gaze found yours again, soft and gentle.
âYou.â He answered, this time his lips quirked up into a half smile, his voice gravelly. âHow lucky I am to âave ya.â
Your initial worry melted away, warmth spreading through your chest. A sleepy smile graced your face.
âHmm, Iâm pretty lucky too.â You shift, tugging his forearm gently. âCâmere.â
