Pike gets the crown for Narratively Excellent Bad Choices in the finale but I do also want to give a shoutout to Keyleth for immediately bending the knee to save Vax when that's absolutely not what he wants & also kicks off the rest of Vox Machina following suit. She's spent this whole season so desperate to save him, using experimental magic and even interfering during combat, and it's absolutely the cherry on top that in the crux moment, with everything at stake, she cannot waver. She was not and is not ready to let him go, even for a greater good, and it's what makes his choice and his death so poignant. She did everything, and still lost him.

the unfortunate part about laudna appearing in tlovm is that it’s just reminding me of how much I hate the way her arc resolved (or rather, didn’t) in c3. every time she crops up in something I just stare at her in utter disappointment and think, “you could have been so good if you were good” and then I get grumpy about it

*gripping the sink* living in a rural cottage and raising horses was always imogen's dream and i guess there's nothing wrong with doing what your partner wants because that makes you happy, but what happened to the girl who was so fascinated by nobility her entire life that she coveted both the aesthetics and the ambition for power that that noble ladies had? she dressed herself up like delilah--STILL dresses like delilah--because delilah owed her her life but we don't get to see her meaningfully interact with institutions of power and her own ambition outside the framing of delilah at all. she became fully alive again, but literally nothing about her changed. not how she looks, not how she acts, not how any of her magic functions (exactly like how catatheosis changes nothing about how divine magic works). the only thing being alive serves is tying herself to imogen. that's like. IT. THAT'S IT. END OF THE STORY. things superficially changed but are actually exactly the same! that's c3 for you!
