You know this was a jam-packed and emotionally fraught episode when something as incredible as Azune awakening one of the great dragons of Aramán, it addressing him as kin and then helping in the ritual at the Hallowed Round by taking in the magic of the Stone of Nightsong and protecting it is no where near the wildest thing that happened

wick's lion crush dies and he gets propositioned for marriage by BOTH twins. for a THROUPLE.

I do think an outcome I initially pitched in the DMs half-jokingly but actually think would be great is first, for Thimble to rescue the torn banner fragment (she should do this no matter what to be clear, like, obvious narrative choice) but also I think that it would be fascinating for the banner to come to Julien, especially given the choices he made and Teor's final thoughts.

I think if she could separate out the betrayal of it, Yanessa would be incredibly proud, genuinely, at how magnificently Wick has conned her over the last 24 hrs

hey nobody think about the fact that teor and kattigan’s last real interaction was the two of them checking in that it was okay to split up, and teor ensuring kattigan that it was, only for teor to die in a pit in the tachonis home with possibly no way for his body to be retrieved. don’t think about it.

I love the juxtaposition of Vaelus and Julien in this episode. Both faced with big weighty decisions with material consequences for the other PCs. Vaelus has to make a choice between helping her family and help others with a similar plight, and she chooses to help the others at the expense of her family; Julien has the same choice and makes the opposite decision to protect his family at the expense of others. The context and scale of their decisions are very different - all the captive Rungjani souls & the history there vs just Teor & Cyd being at risk - and tbh their choices both feel correct. Vaelus's choice was a sign of her growth in breaking from Sylandri and her isolation in grief. Julien saving his sister over two near-strangers he's known for less than 2 weeks makes simple sense, and is also growth in a way via him trying to fulfill his mother's wish for his safety (which was also about protection being more important than vengeance) that he so callously brushed off before. Opposite fitting choices and the two situations are such a nice counterbalance to each other.
