Right like, technically Barry Allen for example is also a legacy character, because the first Flash was Jay Garrick, but Barry obviously didn't get treated quite that way. (Though tbf there were a lot of Barry fans upset about Flashpoint at the time.) It was really the generation of heroes that DiDio specifically was nostalgic about that got "favorable" treatment at the expense of the generation of heroes who gained more prominence after COIE.
