It breaks my heart when people say they REFUSE to read comics bc then it deprives them of becoming hyper fixated on characters that have less than 20 appearances or becoming enthralled with a ship that only makes sense to them and comic readers. Like 😭😭😭 you wanna never be hit with this? You never want to be inspired?

If you read comics YOU TOO can become fixated on a niche ship that flirted twenty years ago but became subsumed by the popular ships even though they are the most divorced ever.

On the one hand I do think James' X-Ray Specs should just be for helping him break into banks by seeing where the guards are and he should not have any idea they could even be used for something perverted, on the other... 80s set comic where he forgets that he's wearing them when the Flash starts chasing him but runs past a gay bathhouse and just goes face first into a lamp post.

Sorry just every time I see "DC stands for disregard canon" on a post about DC's timelines as a Flash fan I start breaking out in hives. No there very much is rhyme and reason to it that remains relevant to the overall narratives of DC, you just aren't seeing that because you're not reading the comics of the characters whose purpose it is to explain the cosmic level stuff.

god the fallout from geoff johns' bullshit has been the worst thing to happen to firestorm and that isn't even me being over dramatic. that's just objective fact at this point
