It makes sense that in the Absolute Universe where the good things about the main universe are reversed that Trickster, who is arguably the most morally upstanding Rogue and the heart of the team, would be kind of awful. However the only writer who has been allowed to touch him in 18 years has been JOSHUA WILLIAMSON so this feels less like "oh an interesting character commentary" and more "OH MY GOD IF THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE GONNA DO LEAVE HIM DEAD" and other such things.

The scene where Geoff Johns has Wally tell James he's proved himself as reformed (before Rogues War) is very cute however it is not my preferred dynamic which is Wally trying to forcefeed James his own cape.

James inviting the Flash to Len's "congratulations on not dying" party and Len not being mad when he actually shows up is such a coldtricks moment. Anyone else would kill him.

James wouldn't be the Rogue to survive Countdown because something something special powers but my god I wish we'd had it confirmed in a comic that the only reason he'd kill is because someone hurt Piper, it was already kind of a thing but make it explicit.

Do you guys think that if James is the mystery Rogue in the next issue I might get yaoi about him by someone else soon?
