In Breath of the Wild, Lyndae can be found in Gerudo Town after the Vah Naboris quest is done...which brings up a lot of questions about how Goron gender works.

As far as I know, Gorons all use he/him pronouns.

This line implies that Gorons see themselves as masculine, though maybe they're closer to agender.

Luckily, as time goes on, Lyndae is joined by a friend.

In Tears of the Kingdom, Lyndae is still hanging around the desert area, but closer to the Gerudo Canyon Gateway.

In Breath of the Wild, Tokk likes hanging out on the family farm. He's not overly talkative.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he's helping out in the community. He can be found walking up and down the hill that goes to the Hateno Lab. He's watching over the Cuccos for Tamana, whose husband Thadd went as a solider to Lookout Landing.

He's one of the NPCs you give a mushroom as part of the Cece questlines.

In Breath of the Wild, Gesane guards the front entrance to Rito Village.

He presumably has a spear and not a bow since this is a position for defending against people on the ground rather than in the skies.

Saying that they're the Rito of Lake Totori implies there's more Rito somewhere else. Maybe that's where Kass went in between games.

He'll explain more about the town, as he may be one one the first Rito the player encounters.

After we defeat Vah Medoh, he has a quest for us.

This unlocks the Face the Frost Talus side quest.

In Tears of the Kingdom, there's a lot more happening in Rito Village.

Gesane has abandoned his post at the front of the village to help gather food. He can first be found in Hebra South Summit Cave. If you continue through the intended route to the Wind Temple, you'll find him.

Gesane is concerned about Tulin.

He'll also appear after we get Tulin his bow back.

After we stop the blizzard, Gesane will return to his post.

Except the bridge he patrols has collapsed, and we need to help fix it.

Once we retrieve Karson and the bridge gets fixed, we complete the Rito Rope Bridge quest.

Then he'll patrol as normal.

In Breath of the Wild, Perosa will tell us a little about special things in the area like the giant horse. She doesn't react when we bring it back, though.

She'll also set us on a quest to deal with some monsters plaguing the area.

The unlocks the Horeseback Hoodlums side quest.

In Tears of the Kingdom, Perosa tells us about Dondons. She'll also lead us to check up on Pyper for the Stable Trotter quest.

In Breath of the Wild, there's nothing much of note. You can get a normal or fluffy bed.

In Tears of the Kingdom, Lurelin Village is going through it. Pirate Bokoblins have burned down and destroyed the whole place, and all the citizens are scattered across the map.

Chessica flees to the Gerudo area. She can be found near the Kara Kara Bazaar Oasis.

Once we save Lurelin Village and bring Bolson the necessary materials, we can rebuild her inn (by taking the debris out of the waterlogged inside).

After we save the village and rebuild her inn, she lets us stay for free!

We first meet Pelison in the Southern Mine on Death Mountain.

Because his name ends in 'son', we can recruit him to going to Tarrey Town (it's lucky that every citizen with a name that complies with Bolson's hiring practices isn't doing much with their life before we interfere).

After he and Greyson are recruited, Pelison can be found selling ore in the middle of town.

So he is enjoying the move!

In Tears of the Kingdom, Pelison is still in Tarrey Town, and has changed his shop up.

He will separate any fusions that Link creates, which is really nice when you kill a wizzrobe and take their staff. Free gems.

In Breath of the Wild, Granté can be found in Tarrey Town (after Link builds it with Hudson). He's on a balcony on one of the buildings.

Granté is the only NPC in the game that lets you buy armor you might have offloaded accidentally. It's only for armor you've already previously unlocked, though.

He'll give you hints of other sets.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he got a new job (and changed his name). He now goes by Grantéson and works for Hudson Construction. He specifically gets put in charge of helping Link out with his house.

Does Hudson just post people at prospective plots? Does he ever go home? I'm not sure I want 24/7 on site construction help.

His mom doesn't seem to have received the memo he goes by Grantéson now. She deadnames him.

In Breath of the Wild, Quince hangs out in Wetland Stable. He's another guy who notes the lack of women at the stable.

He won't change any dialogue if you dress up as a woman, though. Missed opportunity.

Luckily, he'll tell us all about his dog, Satty.

Tumblr won't let me upload the whole conversation, but we learn he found Satty on Satori Mountain.

And then Quince runs into the Lord of the Mountain, and gets so stunned he can't shoot it. It was about to pounce on his when...

And then Quince took Satty and ran down the hill.

He'll also mention that Sidon came by looking for help with Vah Ruta.

In Tears of the Kingdom, I could NOT find Satty. Where is he?? Wouldn't it be cute if dogs could follow travelers around the map?

Instead he's traveling with some friends around Gerudo Canyon.

We can find his friends around Gerudo Canyon. Helping them is part of the Disaster in Gerudo Desert challenge.

On Link's way to Dueling Peaks stable, he can find Giro camping by Squabble River.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he's in a sticky situation. He's part of the Disaster in Gerudo Canyon side quest, where he's very dehydrated.

Later on, you can find him by Gerudo Canyon Pass, back with his friends.

In Breath of the Wild, Falmark travels around Tabantha roads (and unfazed next to a Lizalfos camp). He tells us about shield surfing in the mountains.

In Tears of the Kingdom, Falmark takes up a new hobby: fashion.

He can first be found at South Akkala Stable, getting advice from the All-Clucking Cucco.

After we expose the Yiga plot:

Then he'll start wandering the roads of Akkala.

In Breath of the Wild, she hangs out at Outskirt Stable under a tree, very close to the Great Plateau.

Ouch. Does she try these lines on every guy who approaches her?

Aliza is one of the few NPCs who will react to the Master Sword. It even completes the quest 'My Hero'.

Unfortunately or fortunately for the shippers:

Link already has enough romantic prospects, so I don't think he'll be losing sleep over this one.

She'll spend the rest of the game pacing around and fidgeting with the dirt. She'll also tell us to get on with saving the world and to stop talking with strangers.

In Tears of the Kingdom, she's taken up fashion as her new hobby, but this got her into some hot water.

She got captured by the Yiga in the Aldor Foothills (Yiga Clan Maritta Branch).

She still dreams of being saved by a hero, but she doesn't seem to remember us. Rude.

After we save Aliza, she frequents around Gerudo Town, looking for the Gerudo Secret Shop.

She says, while I'm wearing heat-resistant male clothes.

She also tells us about sinkholes.

Chumin spends Breath of the Wild frequenting the roads in Faron.

He'll even give us a few tips about the area.

And he does sell wares exclusive to the area.

In Tears of the Kingdom, his story gets more exciting.

When checking out the beaches around Hateno Village, we can find messages in bottles. (A lot of them actually, where did he get so many?)

When you follow the trail of bottles, you can find Mapla Point Cave.

He has a bandana around his arm, so maybe he got injured?

After we rescue him, he can be found roaming the streets of Necluda with a horse and cart.

And he has some new wares:

In Breath of the Wild, Izra loves to slack off. He can first be found by the river.

There's a metal chest at the bottom of the river which we can fish out for him.

And Link's a one-man machine, so I guess it works out.

He doesn't go rifling through it on his own, though. He lets us get the loot.

Link is the nosiest guy in Hyrule, so I can't blame him.

Mind you, his brother Ami is a child.

Once he goes back to the stable, he can be found resting against the middle post.

And he'll go behind the stable.

He also...hates men?

Interesting.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he's at least doing more.

He's still at Wetland Stable and helps us withe Penn quest. He wants his farm tools back.

We can build him a boat, and it even has a cute little stool for Izra to sit in while he navigates us.

We end up at Floret Sandbar, where a familiar face greets us.

Magda (aka Flowerblight Ganon) has been doing some work for Zelda. She has a whole garden to take care of.

At least Izra is chill about it.

And so he gets drafted to stay and help Magda. It was a meet-cute this entire time. He wasn't exactly doing a lot back at the stable. Maybe some hard work will do him good.

He seems happy when we check in on him later.

He wanted to work around more girls in BotW, so I guess he got his wish!

In Breath of the Wild, Maypin can be found at Gerudo Canyon stable. He is unable to cross the desert with just a donkey.

I guess he hasn't heard of sand seals.

He even gives us temperature advice.

He's wearing an outfit very similar to the Hateno villagers, so it's likely he's from there.

In Tears of the Kingdom, Maypin continues to be a Traveling Merchant.

He frequents the Akkala area. I found him mainly around the Woodland Stable and Shadow Pass.

The donkey has disappeared, as he now travels on a horse with a towing harness.

He doesn't seem to love his horse, since he keeps bringing up ways he wishes his horse was better.

Trott recently started working for the Stable Association in Breath of the Wild, and got sent to the Outskirt Stable. With a name like his, he's lucky he likes horses.

Capitalism is already grinding him up.

Luckily, it's an easy fix.

This will open up 'A Rare Find' sidequest.

And once you fulfill his rich tastes:

In the middle of the day, he'll also sneak over behind the stable for a break.

You can also keep selling him raw gourmet meat for 100 rupees.

In Tears of the Kingdom, Trott is still at Outskirt stable. He is one of the Stable Hands that just explains things about the area.

In Breath of the Wild, Eryck can be found in Rabia Plains by a campfire.

He's lost, so he decided to just chill here for the rest of the game. It's possible you arrived here directly after Kakariko Village on your way to Zora's Domain on a first playthrough, and he does lead us the right way.

Well, we can't all be the chosen one.

In Tears of the Kingdom, he seems to have found his way, as he has become a traveling merchant.

He even has a cart!

I saw him frequent Faron Woods and Highland Stable area.

He doesn't do much else as a merchant, but at least he found himself a job! Aiding the hero is a noble profession in Hyrule.
