She pads into the kitchen and places her empty mug in the sink before heading up the stairs to their bedroom, where she finds a Chloe shaped lump of covers in the middle of their bed. Before she can even say anything, there’s a pitiful whine from beneath the covers. “It snowed.”

Jessica chuckles lightly as she comes to sit on the edge of the bed. “I know, I saw.”

“I’m not leaving this spot. It’s too cold.” Chloe says with finality.

“Hmm,” Jessica hums. “I thought you might say that.” She feigns a sigh, lips twitching with the urge to grin. “It’s too bad.” She pauses, lower lip getting caught between teeth.

Chloe is still for a moment before she finally pokes her head up from beneath the comforter, eyes narrowing slightly. “Why? What’s too bad?”

Jessica shrugs a little, arms loosely crossed as she tries not to chuckle at Chloe’s bedhead. “I thought maybe you’d want to go to Beth’s for some waffles and hot cocoa.” She says all too casually.

Beth’s was Chloe’s favorite little hole in the wall Diner they found one night after drinking heavily and Chloe had become obsessed with their waffles.

“And then we could come home, and I could make it worth your while.” Jessica winks with a little grin.

Chloe narrows her eyes, a small smirk creasing her lips. “Since when do you play dirty?”

“Since I can’t get my girlfriend out of bed.” Jessica replies flippantly.

The redhead’s smile slowly turns mischievous, and her eyes darken slightly. Jessica knows that look and she has no time to react before she’s squealing in slight surprise as Chloe suddenly pulls her down onto the bed and straddles her. “Or,”  Chloe starts, hands holding Jessica’s above her head. “You could just make it worth my while, now– keep me warm with a little… friction.”

Jessica knows she’s blushing, feels the heat rising to her cheeks and maybe somewhere more down south. “Oh?”

“Mmm,” Chloe hums, leaning down so that their noses barely brush together. “They say that being naked and– cuddling is a good way to keep warm.”

Jessica smirks. “Oh, so you don’t want to have sex, then?”

Chloe rolls her eyes. “Jess.”

“Hmm?”

“Shut up and kiss me.”
