man if only tumblr was actually good at creating diverse characters instead of just saying “this character is trans/gay/etc. i don’t make the rules :))))” and just keep pushing that as if representation is no more than an ironic joke

from what i’ve observed i think one of the various reasons mlm ships have a hundred times as much content as wlw ships is because male characters are given so much more depth in their writing. like that sounds obvious but it also extends to their relationships. most of the time two girls in fiction have a static relationship with each other. while two boys will have a History and conflicting feelings etc etc. anyway its really disappointing like i just want more complexity when it comes to the writing of girls

Weird how engraving someone’s name on a dagger signifies that dagger’s owner, but engraving it on a bullet signifies the bullet’s intended target.
