Once again we see Bilbo's abbilities in full swing. The quite honestly reckless plan, was honestly their only option besides maybe admitting defeat and admitting their purpose. I did get a little satisfaction when Bilbo stood up for the plan, he is honestly really growing into himself here. I hope he isn't too sick though. That could prove to be difficult

I must say I like the dwarves changing opinion of Bilbo throughout the chapter. First off, he and Thorin are kind of co-leaders (even though neither of them necessarily realize). But as things grow more desperate, Bilbo starts to shine, and we see why Gandalf had such faith in him. Also, he is surprisingly vicous for a character that has mostly been docile. And can we talk about his throwing skills? That isn't just a casual "I'm not that good" throw that is a David Goliath type throws. Real talk, do you think this was a game made to secretly prepare hobbits for potential danger, like hide and seek and countless childrens games can double as a type of survival training for kids? Ok, I'll stop rambling on.

Gandalf is at back at it with his clever tricks. The method seems kind of familiar, but let's ignore it. Beorn is a really nice guy, for how grumpy we are told he is. Dangerous, no doubt about it, but gentle mostly. What a guy? The little mention of Bilbo being the only one seeing Beorn is a nice touch.

Part 3: Yay, I'm done with grayscale. It was a good way to see tone.
Part 2: now we are adding textures, honestly this was fun as hell, I never did all the textures by hand so just sitting and doing this was a new experience. Drop a comment if you have a question

At first I was kinda pissed at the dwarves, mostly because just moments before Bilbo was making up his mind to go back for them, mind you this is as a lone hobbit. But I think the won me back by helping Bilbo up the tree. Honestly Gandalf still does act as that strange family friend that you can't exactly place, but somehow he is just... there. It was also intresting seeing how intelligent the goblins and Wargs are. They are definitely not some idiot bad guys, played for laughs. That and the sub plot of them trying to go raid the men in the woods, yeah that is... Chilling to say the least. I also liked the eagles not being mindless beings but instead being very noble inteligent beings.
Finally, chapter 5. This was a very Bilbo centered chapter. Which, of course, I adore. Now, as for Gollum, well, I think we all have heard an impression of him before. But here you kind of see another side. He isn't a stupid creature, he is aware enough to ask riddles, he remembers vaguely. He isn't some rapid animal. His every move is premeditated, I mean, killing goblins in that way takes some strategy, and he was fully ready to basically assassinate Bilbo, but thoughts.
Then, of course, Bilbo escaping the Goblin gaurds, I must admit I did enjoy the fact that his only foe wasn't only Gollum.

Chapter 4 of the Hobbit and once again wowed. Bilbo and the company really do atract problems. I really like the details of Kili and Fili being mentioned as the youngest of the party. The slaying of the Goblins was a rush, and Bilbo was just being given piggyback rides. A moment of silence of silence for my guy Bilbo and his terrible luck, falling down a great abyss.
Chapter 3 of the Hobbit. I started using fineliners, so I enjoy my experimenting with new mediums. I enjoyed this chapter. Bilbo finaly, bless his heart, got some rest. Is this rest with some silly elves who write diss tracks unprompted, yes, but at least he sleeps in proper bed. Also, Gandalf is like, "No one disrespects my little weirdos but me." Anyway, enjoy my attempt at art.
