Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up.

Things usually work out in the end. ‘What if they don’t?’ That just means you haven’t come to the end yet.

There is literally nothing in nature that blooms all year long, so do not expect yourself to do so.
I hate the fact that I don’t hate you, not even a little.
10 Things I Hate About You (1999), Dir. Gil Junger (via thequotejournals)
Water does not resist. Water flows. When you plunge your hand into it, all you feel is a caress. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing in the end can stand against it. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember that, my child. Remember you are half water. If you can’t go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.

ACOFAS Cover Chat
Ok So I really like the ACOFAS cover. its so pretty and nice and i love the filigree. and yea I like it.
I would have written something sooner but #kids.
So basically my thoughts are that the cover is all Feyre, although there are some parts that could be attributed to Rhysand I think that Feyre can be linked to every single item found in the filigree overlay.
And I like that the filigree overlay has a kind of “i spy” game in it! haha
The pictures below are not my own - i have taken them from press photos on bloomsburyya pages like worldofsjmaas and facebook/snapchat/instagram etc. Check out those for more information on the cover like artists involved etc.
and the beautiful artistic talents drawing shapes over the top are my own. >.<
Firstly ignore the U and the circle around that because I have awful eye sight. I was talking to @propshophannah and asking her what the importance of a bird was?? because there is a bird in the U. and she pointed out that it was infact leaves. and I realised I am blind as a bat sometimes. so ignore the U that has leaves that look like a bird but are probably just leaves.
Ok So here is the list:
Night court symbol, illyrian wings, arrow, paintbrushes, ring, book of breathings and dagger.
Night Court symbol - Feyre is high lady of the night court
Illyrian Wings - Feyre can shapeshift into an illyrian, her love interest Rhysand is also illyrain.
Arrow - Feyre killed Andras with an arrow and it is a symbol for her survival
paintbrushes - Feyre loves to paint
ring - the ring Feyre stole from the weavers cottage and her wedding ring. (also notice how its central to the whole image - must be important. and we know the main plot points for this novel so that makes sense.
book of breathings - Feyre put the book together, also sacred text - but the fact there is no cauldron could mean it plays a more important part in the future?
Dagger - Feyres Dagger given to her by lucien. Its described as being jewelled and that she thought she would always wear it at her hip etc.
So those are my thoughts that i wanted to share. :D <3 <3
‘did I mention that I love this cover?
IT’S HERE WITH THE BEST DETAILS EVER

Being cool has nothing to do with age; it has to do with how solid your identity is.

Hell is empty and all the devils are here.
William Shakespeare, The Tempest (via books-n-quotes)
“You see, some people are born with a piece of night inside, and that hollow place can never be filled—not with all the good food or sunshine in the world. That emptiness cannot be banished, and so some days we wake with the feeling of the wind blowing through, and we must simply endure it.”
—Leigh Bardugo
In a trilogy... I always find the second book to be really good (with one exception currently). So if I had to pick my favourite out of the three for action/content/etc it would often be the second book. The final book would be good too - usually - there are a few that suck.
But after reading all 3 I say things like “oh, but you need to read book one for the background and the second book is better, in fact the second book is the best one, but you will need to read the last one for the overarching stories ending.”
my examples -
Graceling Trilogy - Gracling was avg, Fire was excellent. Bitterblue would only make sense with the other two.
His Dark Materials - The northern lights (boring), the subtle knife (loved it), the amber spyglass - a good ending.
Both Gracing series and His Dark Materials are good reads!
the allegient thing - first - ok, second - great - third, omg what was that shit.
hunger games - similiar to above, first ok second ok third - good until the ending.
omg and I am heading down a dark path.
my exception to this revelation currently - is the two towers by tolkien. I skimmed chapters, and Return of the King was def the best in that trilogy. Fellowship was long, and lots of walking. While the two towers had lots of interesting storylines aka ents, it was just too much time spent in helms deep and i hated those chapters. Return of the king was my fav, always will be.
sorry random thought and rant. i’m going to stop now.
Here is the truth: It is hard to be in love with someone who is in love someone else. I don’t know how to turn that into poetry.
