I have just stumbled across this reading challenge which fits in perfectly with what I am trying to do this year, which is finish more book series’! I have started or seen so many that I want to read, so this year is the year it happens!
For any of you who don’t know what this challenge is, keep reading and I will explain!
Series To Finish 2019 (#SeriesTF2019) is hosted by Anna @ Reader and Proud and is all about finishing off series that you want or need to finish
The goal for the challenge is to complete series; it does not matter if you only have one book left or ten, the important thing is to finish them in 2019. Similarly, the amount of series you’re aiming to finish is not important; I’d like this challenge to be as chill as possible so as long as you try to read and complete more series, you’re already a winner!
The challenge will run from January 1st to December 31st and you can join at any point. ARCs do count for the challenge, as well as books published in 2019. You can also include comic books and graphic novels. Again, the only rule is to complete the series in 2019.
To read more about it and to sign up yourself, head over to Anna’s post by clicking here.
Now, as most of you will understand, there are SO MANY series that I want to either start, or that I have started and want to finish, so here is my very large (overwhelmingly so) TBR for this challenge..
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (8 Books)
I am currently reading the first book of this series, so I will need to read all books in 2019
Harry Potter by J.K Rowling (7 Books)
I have read the first two books in this series, so this year I will need to read the last 5.
A Court of Thorns & Roses by Sarah. J. Maas (3.5 Books)
I know that I have read the first two books in this series, but it was such a long time ago, I don’t really remember the finer details, so I am going to re-read them, and therefore read all four books this year
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (7 Books)
This one is similar to the ACOTAR series, I have read the first one, but don’t really remember it too well, so will aim to read all seven books in 2019
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater (4 Books)
I own the first book in this series, but haven’t picked it up yet, so this year I will aim to read all 4 books in this series
Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff (3 Books)
Again, I own the first book, and I did start reading it, but stopped due to a slump so will be restarting this and reading all three this year
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (2 Books)
I own the second book in this series (why the second and not the first, I’m not too sure!) but I am going to read both this year
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (4 Books)
I own the first book but never picked it up, so the full four books this year is the plan!
Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (6 Books)
I own the first few books in this series, and have wanted to read them for the longest time, but just haven’t gotten around to it, this year is the year it happens!
Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare (3 Books)
I don’t have any of these books, so I will need to get myself copies. Will read this series after the Mortal Instruments series.
I am glad we still have the better part of 11 months left in this year, as I am going to be so busy getting through these series’. There are a heap more that I want to read too, but I think this is a pretty good goal!
What book series are you wanting to read this year? Are you taking part in the Series to Finish challenge?? If so, I would love to hear about your books and keep up with your progress!
Until next time, happy reading!
