Over this week and next let's take some time to focus on fic written for the more ~obscure~ (read: less fic written) games of the Harvest Moon Family!

These games will be those sub-fandoms that have 20 fics or less written for them on AO3!

Games like Magical Melody, Grand Bazaar, HM64, Skytree Village, Light of Hope, Hero of Leaf Valley, Save the Homeland, and The Lost Valley!

Being the most popular game in the fandom, with 191 fics tagged under the fandom, it's time to shed a light on Friends of Mineral Town!

Over the next 2 weeks, we'll look at some of the WIPs the fandom has to offer on Wednesday, and then take a peek at the darker side of mineral Town on NSFW Friday.

Then we'll see what some of the top tropes are on Tuesday, and take a look at some throwbacks on Thursday!

This week's featured game is going to be Tale of Two Towns!

Tomorrow we'll look at some of the top fics by Kudos, Wednesday the WIPs, Thursday the Throwbacks, and on Friday we'll take a peek at the NSFW offerings.

With the latest Bokumono exchange wrapping up recently, I thought now would be a perfect time to highlight the wonderful fics and fanart created for the exchanges.

If you don't know, the Bokumono Exchanges are a seasonal gift exchange done in the fandom. Fan artists and writers get randomly assigned a giftee to create something for, and you, in return have someone make a gift for you. They're open to everyone in the fandom who wants to participate, all you have to do is sign up when the next exchange comes around. The Summer 2021 exchange just wrapped up and the next event will be Fall/Winter 2021!

I personally have had a ton of fun writing fics for the exchanges. I get to play with pairings I'd never considered before, and I absolutely love being able to write something that I hope the gift receiver will enjoy half as much as I enjoyed writing it. (And of course, receiving a gift is always such a delight too!)

Voting was inconclusive, so I put the list of potential features into a random picker and RNjesus has decided that next week's Game Feature will be A New Beginning!

This one won't be like the Pioneers of Olive Town feature, there's way more than 20 fics, so I don't think I'll be able to feature ever single one this week. 😂
