Instructions: Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan with a lid. Simmer the rice for 40-45 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
