Roy Kaplan: Out of Sight is here (and you should listen to it!)
I'm happy to announce that Roy Kaplan: Out of Sight has officially launched and you can listen to the first episode right now!
Since this show is finally on the road, it's time I made a proper promotional post again.
What is Roy Kaplan: Out of Sight?
Roy Kaplan is my new paranormal cyberpunk detective audio drama, featuring the titular Roy Kaplan--private investigator, ex-burglar, and psychic. He puts his unique skills as a master thief and a psychic who can speak to ghosts to the test as he solves all kinds of different crimes across a hostile cyberpunk city. With the occasional assist from his ghost roommate Wes, Kaplan tackles everything from strange scams to missing persons to murder and everything else in between.
Roy Kaplan takes inspiration primarily from hardboiled detective fiction of the 30s-50s, as well as old time radio classics such as Richard Diamond. It is episodic in nature, with a new mystery every episode that can be listened to without requiring context from other episodes (though it's still preferable to listen to them in release order).
This first season, Out of Sight, is twelve episodes long, 30-40 minutes each. It features the voice talents of 35 voice actors across the season as well as an original soundtrack.
If you like ghosts, speculative post-apocalypse fiction, sci-fi crimes, and above all, a supernatural detective story that actually remembers to be about investigation and mysteries instead of just happening to include a detective, then Roy Kaplan has all those things and more!

How can I listen to Roy Kaplan?
Roy Kaplan releases every other Saturday at 19:00 EST, running from December 28, 2024 to May 31, 2025. Patreon subscribers get to listen to episodes one week early.
