I've done more creative writing. I can safely say that the last few days, I have been hitting my goal.

I completed my quiz and homework early so I am all set to go see The Odyssey on Friday. I also did some research into the university I want to transfer into and found that I actually have guaranteed acceptance at a reduced tuition rate if I maintain a 3.00 GPA. So that was really exciting. Other than that, I did write today and yesterday. Admittedly I am writing nonsense rather than my novel, but it has reignited my love for storytelling, so this seems like a net positive.
Not much reading done today. Baby boy and I took the most amazing nap around midday. And now I am ending the day with this post.

Full transparencyβno studying was done today. My other assignments arenβt due until next Tuesday so I decided to take a tiny mental break and focus on reading.
Iβm currently reading The Starving Saints by Caitlin Starling and It by Stephen King. I really thought Iβd be able to finish It in a week, but weβre nearing week three and Iβm only 30% through the novel. I just finished The Starving Saints today, however, and it was delightful. I believe this is Caitlin Starlingβs debut and I was immediately hooked by concept alone. I highly suggest reading if you enjoy sapphics, medieval plots, strange entities and cannibalism. My next read is going to be Virginia Robertβs Giuffreβs memoir Nobodyβs Girl. Iβm not the biggest memoir reader, the last one I read was Iβm Glad My Mom Died by Jeanette McCurdy. Iβd like to be more rounded reader, so Iβm exploring more genres like science fiction, horror, and nonfiction reads.
Iβm so excited for fall semester to start. I know itβll probably be more difficult to manage but itβs exciting being a student again. I really like my school and Iβm going to be sad and exciting when I eventually transfer to my four-year university from community college. Also, my student ID comes soon so I can start visiting campus more.
I made a new goal that for the rest of year, I want to try and write (creatively) every single day, even if itβs not working on my novel. Eventually, it would really cool to start submitting to literary magazines. Iβm not sure where this is going to fit into my schedule but Iβm sure I can find the time somehow, even if I have to sacrifice some sleep.
Admittedly, Iβm off to go rewatch The Twilight Saga: New Moon for the thousandth time.

I was able to finish my last assignment that is due this week despite baby boy's meltdown today. I've decided reading my textbook to him is mutually beneficial since he likes to listen to me read and I get to study.
I got a notification that I received both a grant and a scholarship for fall school year which means I do not have to take loans for my classes.
My summer communication class is such a delight. I really enjoy my professor and the assignments. I feel like I'm learning a lot about how to communicate better with my family and how to become a better listener. And, surprisingly, I really enjoy completing our discussion posts this time around.

I think "fuck you, I hate your work and I will do it myself and I will do it better" is a really funny and epic sentiment. i started publishing poetry because an ex boyfriend of mine was publishing really ass poetry in a bunch of journals and I was like "Jesus christ, this is garbage, I could do that, and I could do it better." now I have a page in the Academy of American Poets and I've published a full length collection and his website says "former poet." You should win by succeeding way harder than they do. Spite is a legitimate energy source.

i take being pretentious as hell really seriously. weβve got people using AI to write their shopping lists and everything is on subscription. we think less and HAVE less. iβll write my own fucking essay or my own poem and maybe itβll be fucking awful, but at least it will be mine

Very interesting lecture today on gender and sexuality! I had a busy day, but I made sure to set aside an hour in the evening to read. Iβm starting Anna Karenina and Iβm very excited :)
