Ice doesn’t like music, Slider realizes pretty quickly. He doesn’t listen to the radio, not even in the car, he hates karaoke bars and glares at jukeboxes. Slider’s never heard him so much as hum anything.

But if he’s drunk enough, he has opinions. On the Beach Boys and Little Richard and Elvis. Especially Elvis. This rock’n’roll lover side of his friend takes some getting used to, but Slider also takes great pleasure in coaxing it out.

One day, he pushes it far enough that Ice starts singing. And Slider can only stare. He’s heard that voice on the radio.

Mav doesn’t have a childhood bedroom, let alone one full of posters and embarrassing childhood passions. It would probably be full of planes anyway. But there would also definitely be at least one poster from the teen magazines he used to wistfully stare at in stores. If he’d actually had the courage to buy one, that is.

He’s never told anyone about that passion, but Goose knows very well what karaoke songs are his favorite when he gets really drunk.
