Steven has PTSD please stop ignoring it
(Please take some time to read this, itās important to me. There isnāt much writing itās mostly screenshots)
I have seen barely any posts about Stevenās mental health. Youāre all racking up his anger to ābeing a teenagerā but thatās so clearly not the case. Here is a couple of screen shots and quotes for evidence:
āYouāve always been a fusion, youāve always had your friends! You are NOTHING without themā in the full clip of this, you can just see face drop when she says that. So many times heās been almost killed and had a gem yell at him in his face about him being worthless, this is probably a trigger for him hence why he started crying andā
ā turns pink. Also him snapping and turning violent, he never wants to feel helpless like he always has to when a gem tries to kill him. Heās been through it so much. And even after HE apologises when he didnāt need to. PTSD triggers like this that send you into a rage makes you feel like a awful, awful person afterwards.
āThis was all Pink Diamond!ā āMy mom?..ā heās put back and disturbed by even the mention of his mom, I think itās trigger for him. And right afterā
ā He apologise and vaguely explains why he turned pink, he looks so uncomfortable and scared at the mention of her and while explaining his reaction
āIt doesnāt matter! Iām gonna fix itā he literally starts shaking, blocking his ears and holding his head.
āStop it! I canāt deal with one more horrible thing that she did!ā He snaps at a trigger, and starts getting incredibly angry and emotional
āI donāt wanna hear about it! I donāt even wanna THINK about it!ā Just his voice when he says this, he sounds so scared. And his delusional yelling and movements just scream how much heās put off by his mum. (HELP him)
Thereās probably gonna be so much more in the future. But please stop just calling this āhormonesā, this isnāt how hormones work. This poor kid has a mental illness. And even in the last 5 seasons thereās so much more for him to be absolutely traumatised for.
