LIFE AND DESTINY: PROLOGUE
Somewhere in a dark region of the galaxy...
Inside a cultist research facility, a dark figure was restrained to a chair within a containment cell. They were being observed by cultist scientists who jotted down notes and documented the prisoner's conditions.
Then the Seraphim entered the room and asked "What is her status?" A scientist then answered "Same as yesterday, nothing new to report lady Seraphim." She then inched close to a window, peeking into the cell. "I know you can hear me in there. You really shouldn't have forced my hand."
The figure didn't respond, only sitting in silence. "Maybe you'll forgive me...one day." The Seraphim said before leaving the room. Anger began to rise within the figure as her fists clenched. She had a longing hatred towards The Seraphim. The figure then began plotting her escape from this living hell.
That night, a guard was making his rounds. He eventually arrived at Seraphim's sister's cell, where she was still restrained. Before he could leave, the guard began hearing a voice in his head. "Why should an insignificant worm like you serve a false god? When I can give you a greater purpose."
The guard suddenly became possessed, opened the cell, & then removed the restraints that bounded the creature. She then grabbed the guard by his neck and spoke "Such an impotent creature, why does The Seraphim even bother. Oh well, soon I shall have my revenge and take back what was rightfully mine."
She then left the cell, the red lights illuminated her body. She was a 7ft tall human shaped insect looking creature with big wings. Her eyes glowed a very light blue, and she had long black hair. Another cultist then passed the cell, they turned to see that the guard was lying on the ground dead with the prisoner not in sight.
An alarm rang out through the entire facility. "Of course." The insect said slightly annoyed. Cultists armed themselves and headed to the hanger. The insectiod moved quickly until she arrived at the hanger. There, were dozens of cultists standing between her & freedom. "I haven't eaten in a while, the lot of you will do the job."
The insect flew straight at the crowd with such speed that the poor cultists didn't have enough time to react. She tore into them, ripping each one to shreds. After enjoying herself, the insect commandeered a ship, & flew away from the facility into the stars. The Seraphim had just arrived with reinforcements just as the ship left. "Blast it!" She exclaimed in frustration.
"What now lady Seraphim? Do we give chase?" A cultist asked. Seraphim pondered for a moment, until she came to a satisfying conclusion. The Insect would undoubtedly get the attention of the Space Riders...and Scarlet Spider. Seraphim smiled "No, let her go, she's the Spider's problem now."
