the thing w 'who would win in a fight' between supposedly undefeatable characters from different canons is you do need to distinguish between 'characters who always win a physical fight' and 'characters who always come out on top' bcos those are not the same thing

for example, to my understanding the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl's thing is that she 'beats' everyone regardless of how much they outclass her through non-violence so in the case of Unbeatable Squirrel Girl vs e.g. One Punch Man it's like yeah hypothetically he could probably one-shot her but it would not happen

Steven Universe is a bit misplaced in these kinds of discussions bcos his thing isn't that he always wins, it's a universal ability to make friends with and redeem his enemies so there isn't really any point pitting him against anyone who is already a Good Guy; challenging match-ups for Steven would be characters who are extremely evil.

Bugs Bunny remains one of the most interesting characters to stick in these match ups bcos while he is usually the hero of the story I don't know if he's strictly a Good Guy

I think Goku could beat Bugs Bunny in a fight, but only if Vegeta has first fought and lost to Bugs. This lets Goku win by punching his opponent a bunch and Bugs Bunny win by humiliating an arrogant person who needs to be taken down a few pegs. Goku going up against him first takes him maybe 15 seconds to lose completely though, absolutely no contest.

I don't think Tolkien is a good fantasy writer because he scored the highest at some objective Best Fantasy Book Test that every fantasy writer has to take, I think he's a good fantasy writer because he created a world based on things that he was interested in. I feel like a lot of fantasy writers think that they need to create a whole language for their world because Tolkien did and obviously his books are the best so they have to emulate him, but Tolkien did that because he was a linguistics nerd. I think the lesson to be learned from him is not that you have to include elves and deep history and new languages, but that you have to write endlessly about the things you are a huge nerd about and use those things to create your fantasy world

I'm not religious but I'm a very emotional scientist and I've been thinking about this a LOT lately. I love the earth enough to be its steward. and I have the necessary tools for the task. a complex brain. dexterous hands. legs made to walk long and far. millions and millions of years of Chance and Opportunity shaped me into something that can give back to the planet that has been a life-sustaining home for every person who ever lived. it's enough to make me teary eyed sometimes
