you're not taking your love of something and using it as a tool to hurt yourself are you? loving it so hard that you forget to take care of yourself? telling yourself that people only care about you because of what you make and that they'll stop if you take a break? pushing yourself to work instead of rest so that the thing that used to give you joy and energy is now also burning you out, like everything else?

no it really is crazy that the only thing buck did in eddie's house was fuck tommy. that was his only significant storyline in that house. i'm — i have no words. timothy minear, you funny, funny, person. you would be iconic if you weren't so frustrating.

Well since we’re all diskhorsing today, EYE think that two things can be true- the show had zero intent to portray Eddie as abusive and we as the audience are intended to take it as at worst bad friendship and at best grief and misplaced anger that he made up for in a way that Buck accepted. And also that they chose to do that in a way that really closely mirrored actual abuse that people have experienced, from the yelling to the physicality to the love-bombing, and no one who was triggered by that is wrong for being sensitive to it. The show has a history of sloppily and insensitively bulldozing into shit they’re simply not equipped to handle, and this likely falls into that unfortunate category. But their lack of intent does not equate to lack of harm done. Like am I an unapologetic Buck Girlie, or was I raised by a man with anger issues who defaults to yelling? Unfortunately for me, both 😩.
