“Am I sure?” Pansy scoffed, “Ronald, she’s just received a note that was clearly from him, and has now snuck off somewhere like she’s in some sort of illicit romance novel.”

“Please, Pansy. I can’t think about my best friend having sex with-” Harry visibly shuddered. “-with Malfoy.”

“Yeah, same. That’s… that’s too much information, that is. Oh no…oh dear…the images, I can’t get them out of my head.” Ron glared at Pansy. “Thanks very much.”

She held it up and realised it was his old Seeker jersey. She pulled it on, wearing nothing except the diamond necklace, his jersey and her knickers. It was far too big for her, and she liked the way it hung loosely on her frame.

He turned to take her hand, but paused when he saw her, a strange expression on his face.

“What? Do you not like it?”

“Oh no. Believe me, I do. I think the sight of you wearing my Slytherin jersey is possibly the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. But it’s taking all my self control not to rip it off you right now.”

Although his touch was light, it sent her breath into shallow, uneven gasps. Being this close to him without being able to touch him back felt excruciating.
