Imagine how freaking GOOD PLL could have been if the writers had had the guts to actually allow one of the Liars to do something genuinely bad. Every single time they revealed who killed someone, or who tried to, etc. they always defaulted to the same characters. Mona, or Charlotte, or Jenna, or Mary, or one of the other characters that they’d already decided would be “allowed” to do bad things. Imagine if it had been Spencer who hit Bethany with the shovel, or Alison who killed Charlotte. It wouldn’t have made us hate the girls - it would have made their characters and the show far more interesting, complex, and more exciting.

But hell, they weren’t even willing to let Hanna actually plagiarize her boss’ designs for real, so of course they weren’t going to go nearly that far. God forbid any of the main characters in the precious endgame ships even dip a toe in the gray area between “good and bad.”

Saw the news about a PLL reboot. Not sure how to feel about it. Thought, according to an article from deadline, it’s not a remake of the Freeform show. It’s a new show set within the same universe. If that’s the case, I might be able to get behind it! I’m definitely intrigued, that’s for sure!
