I can't draw very well, but here's something I wrote:

A short little thingy from the perspective of a player.

You did everything right--you tried to help as many as you could. You didn't need the game to tell you to do that.

Your goodness is your own.

You don't need to apologize for existing or taking up space, or being in a situation you didn't ask for.

You're a prisoner, a victim, in one of the biggest ways someone can be in this story.

You might be asked to give endlessly of yourself like the Giving Tree or the Rainbow Fish. You might never be held by the people into whom you've poured ages of investment, but you deserve to.

You should've been loved, because you are love--that's why you fell to these worlds in the first place. You just wanted friendship.

You were never this imposing villain that needed to be put in their place.

You are a person. You're your own person.

You need feel indebted to no one.

Your heart is already big and worthy enough.

I'm so sorry that was taken from you. I'm so sorry they're telling you such poisonous things.

Love yourself enough to be sad about this. Love yourself enough to reach out to those of us also hurting.

Like, how Noelle's mom Carol is the second disembodied voice we've seen talk, through Kris' phone, like the voice in chapter 1 and my mind goes "What if she is the voice?"

Thinking about how in the weird route Noelle gets a red dot on her, seemingly implying a proto-soul.

And with these two data points, I managed to conclude "actually we're not playing as "the player", we're playing as Dess, which her mom summoned back from the dead or something."

Weird.

That all the things that are interpreted as "I hate you" are actually "I'm trying to save your damn life" is kinda heartbreaking? That Kris doesn't prefer the agony of being without a soul over our presence, and instead endures it for our sake?

"Don't forget, Kris. You promised."

That Kris promised Carol to keep Dess' soul safe within them, and we keep running headlong into danger anyway. Dess was a rebel, after all...
