This main page is only set as an archive and it’s posts are in inverse chronological order - most recent on top. It’s not meant to be read here. We encourage you to follow the chronology and continue reading until the end because things start to fall in place and make much more sense as the timeline progresses. Sometimes we make certain interpretations because we have following events in mind.

DISCLAIMER: This timeline/theory/analysis was originally built by Kayla and Sara with the help of BTS videos and their own words. From about April 2021 on is Kayla’s work alone. Sara is no longer part of this Taekook timeline as of about April 2021 and Kayla runs it alone. This is only speculation/theory, our interpretation. It’s impossible to note every interaction taekook has had but we did our best to include really iconic moments, and times that support our timeline theory. We’re human, so there is a margin of error for dates, though we did our best to back check everything. Anything uncredited is not intentional and is due to not knowing the original owner.

This has been an incredible and fun project. Little did I know when Sara and I connected over twitter that our mutual love and support of BTS, and Taekook, would bloom into this massive project. We were analyzing and piecing together a timeline in our DMs to each other, sharing info, researching videos and photos to support our theories, and brainstorming hints we’ve spotted.

I never realized when we started such an innocent brainstorming process between ourselves that others would be interested in seeing what our timeline looked like. We built this timeline with the hope that all of the photographic and video evidence, as well as BTS’ own words, speaks for itself. We used that evidence to support our belief on Taekook’s timeline. Any speculation done on our part was based on a multitude of things - circumstances leading up to, and surrounding, the event; common sense; and typical human behavior (people try to explain away BTS’ actions at times when, at the end of the day, some reactions are just standard for any human). All of those points were utilized to explain our logic when we did speculate.

We are human, and this timeline is massive. There will always be a margin of error. The beauty of this document is it’s a living, breathing document that Sara and I can modify and update as needed. If you see anything you believe is incorrect, our twitter accounts are at the top of the document, and at the bottom of this post. Please feel free to reach out. Likewise, if there's anything you believe needs adding, please let us know. I hope to update as BTS does more things, but if anything is missed or has been left out that you feel is important, reach out. Sara and I can discuss if it delves too far into the realm of speculation that it wouldn’t be wise to add, or we can agree to add it. We’ve done our best to build this timeline with integrity, with proof and evidence vs imagination. If there’s anything you disagree with, that’s okay too! This is a timeline built on our observations. This doesn’t mean it’s accurate to someone else’s perception, since Taekook hasn’t confirmed anything and we’ve had to rely on what evidence has been presented to us. If you disagree, I’m happy to discuss, I just ask you keep it respectful.

We did our best to find videos, whether it’s on YouTube, Twitter or Instagram, to support our beliefs. We did our absolute best to double check these videos, as well as the words spoken, to ensure accuracy in what we uploaded. We also did our very best to credit any channel or account we used, though some were missed due to some being images found on Google, or shared on a social media platform from someone other than the original owner, or they were photos that had been saved before and we were unable to recall the account it was taken from. Any uncredited account is unintentional. We both are appreciative to all the accounts that were utilized in our research.

I am so proud of how hard we’ve worked on this document. This was a long back and forth process. As such, I want to ensure our names and accounts are at the top of this timeline doc, crediting the time and hard work it took to build this. I am excited to share this timeline with taekookers. However, I’d also caution on how this is disseminated amongst the taekook supporters. With love and positivity also, unfortunately, comes hate and negativity. As much as I’d love to share this doc on all social media platforms, I’m not interested or willing to argue, or receive backlash, with antis and/or disbelievers over an analysis we’re confident and proud of. This analysis is no different from someone taking the time to create a YouTube video. It’s just in document format.

The May sighting rumor has been deleted. Thank you so much to the people who flagged it as false🙏 I finished my second round of accelerated courses (I managed to cram two classes, 6 weeks of coursework into 1.5 weeks to get it done faster 😂) and I had hoped when it ended I could pick up on the timeline but now work has gotten busy. Some days I’m working 12+ hours, or logging back in late in the evening to see what else needs to be done. It’s been really exhausting so then it gets hard to find energy to look at more screens. All this to say, I tried to quickly update the timeline before I go to BTS in Baltimore (next week!) but I definitely missed things, like the rumored sighting, I saw it once, made a note to add it and never knew it got debunked.

So I just want to reiterate how appreciative I am when people (kindly) point out where I can fix things because I want to still do my best to keep things as accurate as possible as I archive moments❣️thank you so much, it’s been removed, and I’m sorry if anything else that’s posted is lacking. I always have fears about this, maybe it’s because I’m a perfectionist, and being on social media with how sensitive I am definitely doesn’t help, but please know I’m trying hard to do my best and keep up around adulting💓if anything I’ve recently posted could be worded better, do let me know. I try to write with care, respect and love to Taehyung and Jungkook. But I’m human and I have to be honest and admit these recent uploads are also being drafted after long work days, with minimal time to check real time updates, so I worry I’ve missed things and also that my brain isn’t at its best as I write things out🙏

Also, I was kind of in my feels as I uploaded these newest pieces. I watched BTS perform “Idol” in 2018 on AGT. Late 2018, early 2019 is when I really joined. Being a fan has changed my life in so many good ways. Talking to people who speak multiple languages inspired me to pick up Japanese, which has made me even closer to my Japanese dad. I’ve gotten my passion for writing back through this blog. They’ve helped me through harder times. And I’ve made lifelong friends, some of who I can’t wait to see and go to the concert with in Baltimore.

Not only that, Taekook got me into BTS, and they’ve always been my biases. And when I build these newer pieces, it continues to blow my mind how far they’ve come. 2018/2019 me would’ve never believed what 2026 me gets to witness. Taekook have come so far, I can’t stress enough how incredibly brave and inspiring they are. It’s truly such a great joy to see them happy and thriving. It warms my heart to see how deep their love and support is for each other, and I also find it incredible how so many years have passed and their bond just gets stronger, that they keep interacting with each other like it’s a fresh, new love. It’s beautiful to see. I joke to my friends this year especially seems like a second honeymoon era but it really feels like it!

They are under no obligation to share pieces of their private lives, but they do, and I’m so grateful for what they show. It’s honestly so mind blowing when I read back through past years and then upload new pieces. When they went to service, I told myself the best is yet to come, the next chapter is going to be so vibrant. And it really has been.

I’ll forever be thankful to Taehyung and Jungkook for the precious, personal memories and goals in my life, and I’m also so thankful for what they choose to share with us. All I want is for them to be happy, and it makes me happy to see that they are, indeed, happy. I don’t know if I’ve expressed myself well, but I hope I have. My heart is full of gratitude tonight 💜💚

This moment is also so telling. When Jk cried, Tae repeatedly looked over, even though he was emotional too, giving Jk space to feel his emotions but being attentive to him should he need them. I saw a lot of talk about this so I’ll input my opinion. I remember during my birthday dinner last year, a succession of bad events caught up to me and I ended up sobbing in the restaurant and put my head down. My person and family gave me space, because holding me would’ve escalated my emotions. They knew what I needed and when I was ready for them, they helped in the ways I needed. I think this event is very telling how in tune Taekook are to each other, knowing when they need to step in and when they should give space for their person to feel emotional. This moment only reiterates and emphasizes, again, how strong their bond is.

After the dinner date, Jk posts to IG stories a picture of two ramens plus a Netflix movie. One ramen is mild and one ramen is spicy. It’s speculative, but we all know Tae isn’t a fan of spicy food, so it could be assumed the mild ramen is Tae’s and after dinner with Hobi they stayed up and had ramen and watched Netflix together. Of course, this is my opinion based on the photos and what we know about spice and food preferences so decide as you like!
