Staten Island cop contacted call girl slayed by Long Island serial killer, report says By Staten Island Advance on May 16, 2011 at 12:42 PM, updated May 16, 2011 at 2:47 PM Associated Press Authorities aboard a Nassau County police helicopter search for possible victims of a suspected serial killer along Ocean Parkway at Jones Beach in Wantagh, N.Y., in April. STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. â A call girl from Connecticut who authorities believe was murdered by a Long Island serial killer who found her on Craigslist was contacted by a Staten Island police officer shortly before her death, according to a report on the website DNAinfo.com. Detectives who went through the computer of Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25, discovered the officer was one of the last people to contact her through Craigslist, according to the report. The details of their conversation weren't immediately clear. Meanwhile, the New York Post is reporting that two NYPD cops are being eyed in the slayings, after investigators found they hired prostitutes while working for the department, according to âsources familiar with the probe.â One of the cops was forced out in the 1990s, the other still works for the NYPD, but was stripped of his gun and badge, according to the report. Ten sets of human remains â including four women believed to be call girls â have been found along an isolated stretch of Jones Beach Island since December. âNo NYPD officer has been identified as a suspect,â NYPD Spokesman Paul Browne told Newsday. Happy belated Earth Day thought while stuck I. Traffic jam
Well, today I realized that acid rain is good at doing something: it effortlessly unsticks all the those impossible-to-remove bug carcass splatters all over the windshield and hood of the car! It does the job better than any of those sprays you buy at the hardware store! Marvelous - free and effective, and more polluted the city youâre in the better! Happy belated Earth Day yaâll!
