Hey guys! My friend's city, Washington DC, is adding a new set of trains to their subway system, the 8000 series!
They've been hyping up this train for a couple years now. You'll be able to walk between pairs of cars, and there'll be more standing room to fit more commuters and bikes!

This weekend marked 50 years since the Metro began service, so consider this an appreciation post for my favorite transit system, flaws and all.
