Slight correction however, while he should've been describing a Pere Marquette N-1, a la 1225, he wasn't describing a Nickel Plate Berkshire either! That railroad had S-3 2-8-4's, true, but they, nor any Berk in the Nickel Plate or Pere Marquette roster, was built by Baldwin. He was actually describing an Erie 2-8-4, a certified deep cut!
