i can’t explain my poetry often.

Today the medicine ran out, and my baby Qais fell unconscious. At hospital, doctor said anemia from bleeding caused this, and I need help to get treatment before it happens again.

The doctors said severe bleeding and weakness caused this terrifying moment, and without urgent treatment it could happen again anytime, so I ask, can you help me get treatment for my baby Qais??, please donate now.

I think this explains a lot of trans discourse on here, too. Well, a lot of queer culture generally. Realizing you’re personally trans doesn’t mean all the dumb gender stuff you were raised with goes “poof” and vanishes from your mind. Until you put in the work, you’ve still got all the old crap in there, it just has a big “but trans!” sticker slapped on it.

its fascinating how you can't win with native anglo speakers. if you're perfect at english: you're a bot or a faker. if you're not perfect: your grammar, spelling and vocabulary will be dissected and you'll be hailed as too stupid to meaningfully engage in conversation.

Meanwhile, no person ever: “You should think about giving up your insulin/antiretrovirals/beta blockers/anti-rejection drugs/prosthetic legs/daily multivitamin, because using those your whole life is bad for some reason”

“You are one stroke of bad luck, common viral illness, or traumatic event away from being just like me” is honestly the most terrifying thing you can tell an abled person - and you should. I was healthy and fit and doing everything ‘right’ too - right up until some inner switch flipped and my body crumbled right out from under me.
