i’m not a doctor or a medical researcher but i hate the idea that sperm stays magically perfect and healthy and intact as men age … y’all be smoking and drinking and getting kicked in the balls and inhaling microplastics from your vapes and whatever the fuck they got going on in hungryman dinners, i fully and wholeheartedly know ( not think or believe ) i KNOW for a fact that sperm quality and health degrades so before anybody tries to tell women they’re over the hill or past their childbearing age ooooo the scary clock is ticking, yours is too motherfucker

no but you’re so right! aging sperm not only affects the fetus but it appears to have negative effects on the woman and her pregnancy in general. the quality of sperm of men over 35 iirc was linked to conditions like preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. i made a post abt this with some links that might be helpful for anyone curious. but my point is you’re right and everyone needs to hear it

sperm quality is also affected by the lifestyle of the father and even all the way down to if the father was drunk during conception. Apparently mother can be sober and never have a drink in her life and could still end up carrying a child with fetal alcohol syndrome because dad was drunk at the time of conception.

In all seriousness, it’s because a lot of the people who were willing to “just be kind” a few years ago have lost their patience with trans bullshit. Y’all have managed to completely alienate your biggest allies: women, by stripping us of the necessary language to describe our lives, bodies, and oppression, by taking our limited positions (such as in sports and politics), and by forcing our exclusive spaces to either include you or be stamped out, and LGB people, who you’ve done much of the same to. Not to mention how a lot of trans people treat anyone who questions things. Death threats, rape threats, doxxing, and attempting to destroy livelihoods isn’t exactly a good look if you’re trying to get people to agree with you.
