Ya Rabb, please cleanse my heart of envy, greed, and impatience. Grant me the clarity to see the beauty and wisdom in each moment and the strength to embrace my circumstances with gratitude. Teach me to cherish the people, opportunities, and resources You have lovingly placed in my life, recognising each as a piece of Your divine mercy.
Ya Rabb, make my heart humble, so I seek Your guidance in all that I do. Let me remember that every breath, every heartbeat, is a gift from You, and that I am sustained not by my own strength, but by Your will. Let me not grow heedless of Your favours, both the seen and the unseen, those I understand and those beyond my comprehension.
Grant me a spirit that rises in patience during times of hardship and humility during moments of ease. Help me to be content, to find peace in whatever You have decreed for me, and to trust in Your wisdom when things do not go according to my plans. Fill my heart with love and remembrance of You, so that my gratitude is genuine, profound, and ever-growing.
Ya Rabb, let my life be a testimony to Your blessings. Make me a person who finds joy in simplicity, who sees wealth in faith, and whose heart is anchored in the knowledge that with You, I have all that I need. Let my actions reflect my gratitude, so that I may be a source of comfort and ease for others, a reminder of Your mercy, and a servant who brings no harm, only benefit, to this world.
And when my journey in this world comes to an end, let me leave with a heart full of gratitude, a soul content, and a spirit that is at peace with returning to You. آمين — wordsbyhisheart
“ Learning Islamic knowledge, requires patience. ”
I never understand how some men can show kindness, gentleness, and compassion to the world outside but wear a completely different face at home.
The worst kind of man is the one who appears righteous to the public, yet is a harsh tyrant with his own family. Aren’t your wife and children the ones most deserving of your warmth, mercy, and patience?
Masculinity is not about being cold, distant, or harsh. Qawwama (being a maintainer and protector) does not mean ruling with an iron fist.
A real man knows balance — to provide, to protect, to show mercy, and to be gentle with his family — while also standing firm when necessary. He plays with his family without losing respect. And when the time comes to make serious decisions, he is decisive and firm, not oppressive.
Balance is knowing when to press the gas and when to apply the brake — and when you do put your foot down, your family knows your decision is made with wisdom, not ego.
It was narrated by Ibraaheem ibn Daazeel, from Abu Huthayfah, from Ath-Thawri, from his father, from Ibraaheem At-Tameemi, that ‘Umar ibn Al-Khattaab (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
“A man should be like a child with his wife, but when he is needed (to be serious), he must act like a man.”
(Al-Mujaalasah wa Jawaahir Al-‘Ilm — Ad-Deenawari, the Maliki scholar).
Whoever Missed Out On Performing Hajj This Year
Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali رحمه الله said:
❝ Whoever is not able to stand at ‘Arafah, then let him come to a standstill at the limits that Allāh has set for him!
Whoever is not able to stay the night at Muzdhalifah, then let him stay in a state of obedience to Allāh, seeking closeness and nearness to Him!
Whoever is not able to slaughter his sacrificial animal at Mina, then let him slaughter his own lusts and desires so that might achieve that higher aim!
And whoever is not able to reach the House because it is far away, then let him direct his heart to the Lord of that House, for He is nearer to him than his own jugular vein ! ❞

no connection without willingness to be seen. no connection without curiosity and understanding, without compassion and forgiveness. no connection without tolerance and inconvenience. no connection without the courage to divulge feelings, thoughts and needs. no connection without putting the health of the bond before pride or the comfort of hiding. no connection without embarassing yourself a little. without hard conversations, or the space and will to learn and grow. without accepting and loving imperfection

This Ramadan, ask Allah for the impossible. Allah has no limits. For once, forget everything you know about how things work, about what is “realistic” or “logical.” Just believe, wholeheartedly, that whatever you ask, Allah can grant it. Wake up before Fajr, stand in tahajjud, and when you go into sujood, pour your heart out. Ask for what you truly want, not just what seems within reach. Even if the world tells you it’s impossible, even if you’ve convinced yourself it can never happen, don’t give up on your du’as. Make dua with full faith. Cry if you need to. Speak to Him. Tell Him your wishes, your longings, your quiet dreams that no one else knows about. He listens. He cares. And He is Al-Mujeeb-the One who responds. May Allah fill your heart with hope, answer your deepest prayers in ways better than you can imagine, and bless you with peace that stays with you long after Ramadan is over. Ameen.
A Message from a Daughter:
“I used to always hear my mom recite this beautiful dua:
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ خَيْرَ عُمْرِي آخِرَهُ، وَخَيْرَ عَمَلِي خَوَاتِمَهُ، وَخَيْرَ أَيَّامِي يَوْمَ أَلْقَاكَ
"Oh Allah, make the best part of my life the end of it. And make the best of my deeds be my final actions. And make the best of my days be the Day in which I get to meet You"
Allah had accepted her dua. She was admitted to the hospital for something we assumed doctors can fix. But her condition only got worse. As much as she was in pain, unable to eat well and weak, Allah granted her the ability to keep her 5 daily prayers, pray whatever she can from the nawafil, read much Quran, make continous Dhikr, have someone buy meat and distribute it to the poor, give lots of charity, cheer up families of other patients who are sick and request to have her glucose drip removed so she can fast the day of Arafah which she did surprisingly with ease. She made sure my dad would go and pray in the Masjid for each prayer. All which she always did throughout her lifetime. But she had gathered all these deeds in the last days of her life.
But most importantly, she was content with the Qadr of Allah. Always saying while sick that `"Everything Allah brings is good".`
She passed away on a Friday shortly after Fajr prayer with her index finger up. In Sha Allah she was able to pronounce the Shahadah before she died. We prayed the Janaza after Jumm'a prayer with the Masjid packed with hundreds and hundreds of worshippers. She died of a disease in the abdomen which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said would be considered as a martyr in a Sahih hadith, so we pray that Allah accepts her as one.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “If Allah Almighty wills goodness for a servant, He sweetens him.” It was said, “What is his sweetness?” The Prophet said, “Allah Almighty opens the door of righteous deeds for him before his death and then receives his soul in that state.” Musnad Ahmad 17784. Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
My mom wasn't a scholar, nor a daee, nor someone out there who was well known. But her sincere dua's and efforts made her special in her last days.
Having sincerity can turn your life around. You don't need to be someone big to have a good ending. You just need a sincere heart. Always ask Allah to give you a life that's pleasing to Him. And work for it. Never abandon the Quran or Sunnah. Help and touch as many lives as you can. If you still have parents who are alive, then make it a priority to always respect them, obey them in what's good and make them happy. And if you are parents yourself, teach your kids every good. Teach them the prayers, the Quran, how to make Dhikr, good character and to always fear Allah. They will be your ongoing charity and legacy after your death. `My mom use to tell me to never leave the Quran, even for a day, and contemplate on its verses and always wake up for night prayers.` So I pray that every letter I recite and every rakah I pray, will be in her scale of good deeds. These are what we will remember the most from our parents. The advice they'd give us regarding the Deen.
So don't let this Dunya make you forget how near your ending is. Let your heart always be alive with the rememberance of Allah so that when it's time to depart, the shahadah will be easy on your tongue. Don't ever assume you're still too young, or you're healthy or that you're safe from death. You are only a guest in this world, and every guest must soon leave.
I ask anyone reading this post to sincerely, from your heart, to ask Allah to have mercy on my mom, forgive her sins, accept her good deeds, admit her to the highest Paradise and accept her as a martyr and all the believers who devoted their lives to Allah.

Ibn Umar رضي الله عنهما “Do not look at a person's prayer or fasting, rather look at the truthfulness of his words when he speaks, his honesty when he is entrusted with something and his piety (wara) when he thinks of committing a sin.”

Ramadan Mubarak everyone! May these next thirty days make way for our spiritual healing and growth. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى continue to guide our hearts to everything that pleases Him. May He strengthen our relationship with Him and increase us in love for the Qur'an. May He create abundant ease for us throughout this month and multiply the reward for everything we do for His sake. May He make us witness Laylat al-Qadr and respond to all our heartfelt du'as in His wise and beautiful ways. May He erase all our bad deeds, overlook our shortcomings and grant us complete forgiveness for our past sins. May this month provide us the relief that our heart needs, the answers that we're looking for, and the clarity for the future ahead. May He accept all our ibadaat and weigh it heavily on our scale of good deeds. May He also strengthen us physically and emotionally to fast and engage in various acts of worship and make us from the people of Muhsinoon, Allahumma Aameen.
