For the second week of June, the Reverse Billy Big Bang is hosting a Sub Billy Week Mini Event! If you'd like to use the bingo card above for an extra little challenge, you're more than welcome to try to reach a bingo, multiple bingos, or a blackout, or you can simply view it as a prompt list to inspire you! While it is technically a week-long event, we will NOT be closing the AO3 collection or stop reblogging any works after the 14th, so make sure to tag @billybigbang with anything you create through July 31st (the end of the Reverse Billy Big Bang 2026)! This is open to anyone who wishes to participate, not just RBBB participants, and any medium that is not AI is allowed, so create away!

Hi! I was going to join but the idea I had for it was going to be a redraw of a past piece I did a few years ago along with a brand new second piece to go with it, is that okay or does it need to be an entirely original idea?

Hello!

While a (not 1-for-1) redraw would be allowed as a secondary piece in the event, your main artwork piece that would need to be 50% completed for claims would have to be the brand new second piece you mentioned in your ask, as we are not able to easily quantify how much of a redraw would need to be changed to qualify as a "new piece", and the event requires a new unpublished piece to be used for claims. If your author and you can come to a consensus on the redraw, and how that fits with your main artwork, then it would be allowed to be included in your collaboration. If you need more clarifications don't hesitate to react via a reblog or another ask !

Claims will happen on March 29th, 2026 to celebrate Billy's birthday - artwork must be 50% completed by March 25th to be included in claims. Artists can create as many works as they believe they will finish in the event time!

Writers must write 5000 words or more for each artwork they claim.

The use of AI will NOT be allowed for the creation of any art or fanfiction for this event.

hii! if i was thinking about doing an animation/animatic for my part of my submission as an artist for the reverse bang, what would the requirements for that be? would that be allowed?

im not 100% sure i could commit to that, but i figure i should know what i would have to do if i did

Hi!

An animation/animatic would certainly be allowed! As we've never had an artist utilize this medium before in our prior events, we'd want to discuss with you specifics to make sure that your time contribution would be equivalent to a traditional drawing artist's for the minimum requirements. If you want to reach out to us via DM we'd love to discuss it with you and then we can reblog this post with our agreed upon minimum requirements for any other animation/animatic artists who might be interested!

After discussing, we have decided that the minimum length of an animation will be 10 seconds. The 50% requirement for claims must include the key framing scenes of the animation in order to give authors a good idea of the animation's story, but the 50% requirement does not apply to each individual frame (ex: if a 10 second animation requires 60 frames, you do not have to have a rough sketch of each of the 60 frames. You can have the first 15 frames nearly complete, and then 15 other frames that describe key moments/movements later in the animation nearly complete for claims).
