It's finally real...
I won't have open slot numbers listed at this time, maybe once I get more into the swing of things or if it turns out demand is high. It's always okay to message me and ask about my availability, though!
If you wanna pay me for art, read my rules under the cut. It'll look wordy and scary, but I promise it's all standard stuff and I'm just making sure my bases are covered, haha. I can summarize as needed!
The rules listed below are for the purposes of etiquette, expectation, and accountability. They are guidelines, not a legally binding contract, though some rules may be beholden to local laws.
COMMUNICATIONS
I reserve the right to cease communication at any time, and for any reason. You have the same right.
I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason, and I am not required to disclose a reason to you. Likewise, you may refuse to commission me at any point and for any reason prior to the processing of payment.
Communication regarding commissions will only be done through DMs, or via Discord, unless otherwise specified. Comment threads and reblog responses will be ignored, and may be assumed bots.
All messages must be carried out in a polite and civil manner. Mean/Rude comments, spam, and excessive nitpicks will be ignored.
I will offer you updates as I work, such as progress updates or timeline estimates. I will also do so if specifically asked, but please don't message me excessively.
If your commission has a deadline, please notify me before I accept your commission.
If you intend to use your commission commercially, such as for a logo, promo art, or something intended to be sold as a print, I must be notified prior to accepting your commission. Commercialized commissions are subject to certain limitations, and may incur an extra fee.
Do not disclose any personal information I share with you as part of the commission process, such as my real name, location, or email address. Likewise, I will not disclose any personal information you share with me regarding such communications.
PAYMENT
U.S. Dollars only. You are responsible for any necessary currency exchanges.
Payment is through PayPal only, and billing will be in the form of an invoice with the necessary details of the commission. Alternative payment methods may be offered by me under certain conditions.
Payment must be made in full up-front before work will begin. Animation commissions, and commissions over $150, may be paid via a payment plan if discussed prior to you receiving your invoice.
Any changes made to the commission after payment has been received will incur extra fees, as appropriate, before they will be implemented. If such changes are not paid for, I will not include them.
When making payments on a PayPal invoice, do not mention to PayPal or anywhere on the invoice that it's a commission, even if prompted. If it's a NSFW commission, do not say so. Doing so may endanger my ability to do commissions in the future, and may otherwise affect my capacity to use PayPal.
Artwork: Cancelling your commission prior to your approval of the sketch stage entitles you to a refund equal to the commission price minus the equivalent "line-only" price. Cancellations past this point forfeits your refund. Sprites are not subject to refunds.
Animations: You are entitled to up to a 75% total cost refund if you cancel your commission prior to your approval of the animatic stage, if I have already received at least 25% of the total cost. Otherwise, your refund is forfeit. (i.e. if a commission was $100, and I have been paid $40, you will get a $15 refund because I keep 25% of the total cost.)
If I cancel a commission for personal reasons that don't pertain to your commission in specific, you will receive a full refund, regardless of completed progress. Cancellations resulting from your conduct or inability to follow these guidelines forfeits your refund. Otherwise, refunds will be as listed in rules 6 and 7.
Disliking the finished product does not entitle you to a refund.
Challenges, chargebacks, or other revocations of a payment that has already been sent or received is not allowed without prior discussion.
OWNERSHIP
Once a commission has been completed, you may use the artwork in any personal, non-commercial manner you choose. Commercial commissions may additionally be used as discussed.
Credit to me must be offered in a visible, reasonable manner if my artwork is posted anywhere by you, such as via a link to my account, a watermark, or listing my username and platform.
You may not claim the commission as your own artwork, or use it in any dishonest manner, such as by posting it on a portfolio site, submitting it in contests, or using it as a base for other artwork.
Unless previously discussed, I reserve the right to post artwork commissioned by you on my personal blogs, portfolio sites, or other public or personal spaces. If I do so, I will either credit you, or allow you to remain anonymous, whichever you prefer.
You may not, under any circumstances, use my artwork for any purpose in relation to, or to interact with: NFTs, cryptocurrency, block-chain technology, AI, or any other similar technologies that exist now or in the future.
Availability of fanwork commissions is subject to the preferences and whims of the relevant owners, creators, businesses, and corporations. If such parties have not indicated consent towards their works being commissioned to unaffiliated artists, you are responsible for obtaining that consent if I don't already have it, or am unable to contact relevant parties.
All terms listed here are subject to discussion. Any alterations must be agreed upon by both parties, and only apply to the commission in question, not to future commissions.
By contacting me for a commission, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all listed terms.
