I don't even know whose job it was to teach people this, but did they just stop teaching people what a bicycle bell means?
One would think that hearing a very distinct, clearly audible, reasonably loud and rapidly approaching sound of any kind would make any reasonable mammal turn to look at the direction of the sound, just purely by instinct?? If a deer heard something nearby go DING DING DING DING DING DING at its general direction, it would at least look up to see whether the source of the sound is a threat or not? Just a quick "is that something I need to be concerned about?" type of glance.
The enshittification of pedestrians has reached the point where they have less traffic survival skills than deer.
How exactly does one slow down and weave around pedestrians who are blocking the entire way in a formation in which it would be impossible to pass them even on foot without elbowing one or two?
This is literally why we need bike lanes
The pedestrians ignoring the bike bell are on the bike lanes.
Suddenly that dude in New York who yells at people to get out of the bike lane is actually more justified.
Think paluo and sue could still be a thing? I can see chemistry work with these 2
Oh this enticing bait
The chemistry potential is what drew me into the rabbit hole originally. I really liked how they each tried to protect each other in Confrontation to begin with. It’s very tragic that they just hate each other afterwards, much more so in recent chapters and with the new canon knowing those earlier moments were not one-offs and Paulo is very misogynistic with girls he just doesn’t like :////.
It’s one of the more interesting relationships in my head because it could go in any particular direction given those twos quirks. Skys the limit
I’m pretty sure I said things have to change in that old old PauloxSue post I did years ago, nothings changed there, any chance of it happening required a drastic change in Paulo since most of it working out really does rely with him having both some interest in the things Sue likes and more importantly him not acting like he has a stick up his ass. Sue is otherwise perfect the way she is.
I wouldn’t say she’s perfect, but she’s better than Paulo except the fact that she can’t handle that people change, not everyone grows the same, and she’s very one sided if she hears a backstory that seems to be quite convincing.
What do you mean “chat” is now referring to ChatGPT and not twitch chat? What? What? What the fuck? No?
When I address chat I am speaking to a presumed Greek chorus of real human people shitposting on their lunch break, not a machine that devours lakes to covert electricity into slop.
My mom took my sister and me to a protest when we were like 8 and 5 or smth? I'm not gonna go into what that protest was about but she basically fed us lies until we were genuinely distressed and thought we might die soon and also made us draw signs for the protest. I remember her even praising us for getting way too into the topic even tjough we were wayyy to young tl understand
I wouldn't call it traumatizing personally but it's still so weird looking back and remembering that we literally did understand what was even going on.
Reminds me of early days Greta Thunberg and all the other “activist” kids who were either trained by their parents to say lines or they are constantly fed information and scared until they “want” to do activist stuff because they’ve been given the impression that the world is ending.
And that’s one of my huge contentions with bringing children to protest, outside of intentionally putting them in an environment that that could easily become unsafe or dangerous for them (and basically using them as shields against criticism), is that kids and often even teens just do not comprehend or understand what they are even protesting.
It’s like how years ago there was huge outcry because some extremists were bringing their kids to an anti abortion and anti gay protests and everyone seemed to agree that it was incredibly immoral to make a child hold blown up graphic images of aborted fetuses or shout at strangers to tell them they’ll burn in hell. But now apparently there’s videos of children getting pepper sprayed at anti ICE protests and weirdos staging protests with little children holding their signs and the left is just crickets.
HOT TAKE INCOMING FROM THE PRESSES:
Kids can understand whatever is happening. I don't think that means that they should be literally ignorant to what's happening in the world. I think personally that anon seriously is missing out on the subject of what exactly was being protest.
TWO FUCKING THINGS CAN BE RIGHT. YES YOU PROBABLY SHOULD KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING BUT NO YOU SHOULDN'T SCARE YOUR KIDS the fuck lmao.
But it's kinda weird on why anon is not telling us what subject that their mom was telling them hey. you do know that the world is gonna end.
Like that's kind of important in this context lmao.
But if I'm gonna be real: The Left actually supports it because it's a legitimate civic engagement, the kids aren't too young because they have a direct impact.
They also emphasize personal impact on kids because IT ACTUALLY AFFECTS CHILDREN EMOTIONALLY AND MATERIALLY. KIDS ARE GETTING TAKEN AWAY BY THE GOVERNMENT. SO YEAH THE KIDS ARE A LITTLE SCARED.
Also most left-leaning perspectives love youth activism and also they frame it as moral urgenc. Many activists have argued that ICE's actions are harmful or unjust so yes protesting is morally justified. Because kids don't like seeing families sperated, or alleged excessive force.
You don't need to be an adult to see the problematic issues of being an immigrant in America. Not saying you're saying that but I'm not gonna pretend that the elephant isn't in the room. The kids are seeing the adults be the bad guys.
So yeah as long as the kids are doing it in a peaceful and not disruptive in harmful ways, that's not a problem. The issue I'm having is; why the fuck is anyone okay with the fact that the kids are being pepper sprayed? We should laude them as fucking good citizens for even caring about the things that are happening in the world.
But what's happening on the right? Punishment for showing their first amendment. Insanity.

I love it when I'm on tiktok and I am saying how hot a big and curvy woman is; someone calls me a gooner and I laughed: Yes, I am. I should be attractive to this. I'm married to a big and curvy woman. I SHOULD BE ATTRACTIVE TO THAT BODY TYPE.
Things that were beautiful and meaningful are being reduced to bare elements and scrubbed of their lustre, and people think they're enlightened for asking you, mockingly, why you care.
Tfw you only care about superficial aesthetics
See what I mean
awareness of "the abused can become the abuser" is useless without the knowledge that abuse is a choice anyone makes that is made for self-benefit. recently I watched an interview on the psychology of domestic abuse and the woman who interviewed those who inflicted the abuse always made sure to ask "why didn't you take it further?" because the answer would always show the abuser hadn't simply lost control. for example one man said he pushed over his girlfriend but didn't kick her once she was down because he didn't want any noticeable bruising that caused suspicion. human psychology is much less poetic than you think. too many psychology enjoyers only enjoy the poetic
average "dark psychology" enjoyer discovering the perpetrator literally just hated women and minorities
Yep. Sometimes it is that black and white.
My True Disdain for indie shit
I actually don't mind Indie movies but I hate it in a weird way because it's so white centric it's almost suffocating. I can smell the unseasoned food and completely devoid of any afro-centric based qualities. I can taste the fucking "AW GEEZ" and deal with the fact of people not understanding different cultures and yearning to go see outside the world.
I can feel it in my fucking bones!!!!!!! But. The truth is; we needed those stories. We need those stories of the Midwest suburban white kid of finding themselves. We need those stories of the adolescent youth, finally realizing their true potential.
Because the rust belt of the flyover states still hurt their kids. They still torture their children with pain and suffering and so many more fucked up adults. So I really can't bitch too much about it because it's not right.
People need to hear about their stories.
God was not upset at Adam and Eve for consuming the fruit of knowledge, he was upset because it hadn't ripened yet. The plan was always to feed them the gift of knowledge, but the serpent tricked them into eating it too early, causing humans to be unable to understand the entirety of a subject.

"I shouldn't have to pay for someone else's student loan debt."
Meanwhile, when the proposition is to forgive only the interest, which costs zero taxpayer money to do, you still object to it.
"Nothing that requires the labor of another human is a human right."
Meanwhile, when the proposition is to cut out the rich profiteers and make something cost only enough to pay the laborers, you still object to it.
Just admit it. You like when people suffer. You object to any attempt to relieve their suffering.
"these researchers published a paper on something that literally any of us could have told you 🙄" ok well my supervisors wont let me write something in my thesis unless I can back it up with a citation so maybe it's a good thing that they're amplifying your voice to the scientific community in a way that prevents people from writing off your experiences as annecdotal evidence
they did the research in the first place because they believed you and wanted to tell people about it. they are not our enemies.
Sometimes "they" are us who got an entire graduate degree for the explicit purpose of saying this stuff where academics might take it seriously.
I was recently rereading the comic and a line made me wonder. Mike calls Sandy his first childhood friend and first crush in Unfulfilled Fantasy, but wasn’t Lucy his first friend back in kindergarten? Did he not consider Lucy his friend until after Sandy came and went? He said he was Lucy’s first friend in Left Behind. Did he just think she saw him as a friend without truly considering her one?
Veronica: You got it on the final bit! Mike was Lucy’s first friend, but Lucy was not Mike’s first friend, in his eyes.
Lucy’s “we’re friends, right?” was before Sandy, and I think the moment Mike did start seeing Lucy as a friend, but I think by then he was already on friendly terms with David and Daisy. I think Mike saw a “friend” as something a little deeper, that Lucy just wasn’t to him at the time due to the baggage she already came with.
I think the reality is that.. yeah, Lucy was also technically Mike’s first friend, but she was a nightmare to him during the first few years so he didn’t see it that way! Sandy was the first truly close person who didn’t come with any strings attached, to him. Which is why he sees Sandy as his first friend.
A lot of people don’t talk about how Mike described Lucy to Sandy, the shelter princess. Literally I had to reread December before I drank the Mike victim koolaid.
Imagine you literally had to describe someone to another person who you don’t even know and say oh she kicks me and beats me all the damn time and it’s so funny!
A person who’s a little up there on the maturity is gonna be like “wtf? That’s fucked up man” and especially if you don’t KNOW that person at all, to the point where you scrapped your knee? Oh dude it’s a no brainer on why Mike started to realize you’re not my friend.
Idk Bojack maybe actually go to therapy and stay there. Be dumb. Jfc.
