Here we have my latest reference photo to the painting I'm making for an art competition. The prompt is mundane everyday ritual and I chose to represent basically just getting up and getting dressed to go to work every day when you could be doing something so much better with your time. Anyone familiar with my drawing Happy to Help, I wanted this one to act as a spiritual successor and capture the same emotion and color. I would also like to thank the style tenebrism for making backgrounds so easy to paint 🤌🏿

Officials announced a temporary closure of the facility earlier in June and sent all of the detainees to other facilities, saying hurricane season made it unsafe to keep them in the Everglades. Immigration advocates said the center’s tents were never safe or humane for holding people. Detainees at the facility have talked about their difficulty accessing lawyers and described poor physical conditions, including worms in the food, toilets that didn’t flush, floors flooded with fecal waste, and mosquitoes and other insects everywhere.
