so a couple of things:

yes, the black plague thing is part of it. jews were very often blamed for the plague and massacred. the population of jews in medieval europe took a HUGE nosedive because of this. the plague was less deadly in jewish communities and christian europeans associated it with their views of us as being "satanic" and accused us of poisoning wells. in reality it was because jews practiced better hygiene (as it is literally part of our religious rituals). jews became associated with sickness, parasites, and yeah, pests. (we can see this carry over into modern day with covid conspiracies.)

Rats make us think of disease, dirt and infestation, and have been used to represent Jews in antisemitic imagery throughout history into the present. Take a look at this is propaganda poster from the 1940s when the Nazis occupied Denmark. The text reads “Rats. Destroy them.” In a Nazi propaganda film, the Eternal Jew the occupants of a Jewish ghetto are shown in tight quarters likened to rats swarming in a sewer. The statement “Destroy them” is particularly vile due to the common use of Zyklon B to eradicate rats as well as its use in the Nazi death camp’s gas chambers.

So just this week alone we have had: 4 synagogue shootings, 2 synagogue bomb attacks, and now another lunatic tried to blow up a bunch of little Jewish kids at school (afted one of the synagogue attacks earlier this week included a guy ramming an explosives filled car into a Jewish Pre K.)

And that's on top of the countless individual hate crimes taking place every day, everywhere, by every part of every political spectrum, that we then get told we are lying about.

What the situation in Iran has taught me is that a lot of you people would have defended Hitler if he had been anti trump and said fuck the USA. 100.000 Iranian civilians have been slaughtered by their own regime. Simply for demanding basic human rights. Something all of us living in our first world countries are taking for granted. People, including children and teenagers, have been shot by their own regime for daring to protest or just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The IRGC has shot people WHILE THEY WERE IN THE HOLSPITAL SEEKING HELP. And you didn't care. The bodies of women went missing and when returned they had their uterus removed so the regime could cover up the horrors they did to its dead women. And self labeled feminists were silent. A market was set on fire and surrounded by armed forces, so civilians could decide if they rather wanted to burn to death or get shot point . Iranian people have been BEGGING for help from other countries. You would know any of this if you would follow what actual Iranian people have reported. But you don't care.

Now the USA has sent their troops to Iran, you suddenly care. It's all "killing is wrong and human rights and laws!!!!" because it's the USA who got involved and you get to pretend one more time that you care about human rights. It's so fucking performative. It's actually like clockwork. You didn't care about 100.000 Iranians getting killed by their own regime, but when the USA takes action against that very regime, that's unacceptable to you?

Yeah, trump is fucking evil and should be in jail, but so is the Iranian regime and sometimes it needs one evil to take out another, and I don't think any of you get to dismiss the pain and suffering of the Iranian people just because trump bad. If you think trump is bad, boy, do I have news for you. Against the Iranian regime, trump is just a toddler. Under the Islamic Republic of Iran, lgbtq+ people get tortured and killed. Women have been beaten to death for showing their hair. So if you support the regime, and are against a regime change, just because said regime hates trump and America, you basically support the killing of women and the lgbtq community. Don't ever call yourself a feminist and pretend to care about human rights and equality.

Does Trump probably have an ulterior motiv for attacking Iran? Yeah, most definitely, but at this point it doesn't matter. The pure evil that is the Iranian regime needs to be taken out, and at this point I don't care who does it. It just needs to happen. For the sake of all the people living in Iran. And us westerners don't get to fucking tell the Iranians that their suffering doesn't matter and shouldn't be heard.

The Buchenwald concentration camp memorial in eastern Germany has long faced vandalism and disruptions, largely attributed to far-right extremists. Now, according to a report in the Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung, pro-Palestinian activists from Germany’s radical left are planning a demonstration at the site during commemorations marking its liberation.

Buchenwald, located in the state of Thuringia, was liberated by U.S. forces in April 1945. About 56,000 prisoners were killed there, including many Jews.

For years, the memorial has reported incidents including graffiti, verbal abuse, visitors wearing clothing with Nazi symbols and individuals performing Nazi salutes. Those incidents have typically been linked to far-right groups that enjoy significant political and social support in parts of the region and seek to downplay Germany’s responsibility for World War II and the Holocaust.

The new planned protest is expected to take place during the second week of April, when Germany marks the anniversary of the camp’s liberation. According to the report, organizers intend to hold demonstrations and lectures at the memorial under the slogan “Keffiyehs in Buchenwald.”

Participants are expected to include the German Communist Party, the student wing of the Left Party and “Jewish Voice,” a group of anti-Zionist Jews.

Organizers accuse the memorial’s management of failing to take a stronger stance against Israel and allege discrimination against pro-Palestinian activists. The dispute follows an incident in April last year in which a visitor was barred from entering the memorial while wearing a keffiyeh in protest of Israel’s policies in Gaza. A court later upheld the ban.

It later emerged that the visitor was affiliated with a communist organization that had praised the Oct. 7 Hamas attack, stating it could “only admire the completely legitimate uprising.”

A spokesperson for the Buchenwald memorial said officials are “concerned about attempts to misuse the memorial site.” Felix Klein, the federal commissioner for combating antisemitism, called the planned protest “a new low in the reversal of victim and perpetrator roles.”

this is primarily performative (in the most negative sense), Buchenwald has keffiyehs banned, and they know that.

the fact that this likely won’t amount to much isn’t the point, the point is their confident cruelty in planning it to begin with, and the desired effect of causing outrage and diminishing the Holocaust.

We are not pro-Trump, but if he helps us get rid of this regime, Iranian people will stand by him. If any other country had helped us remove this regime, we would have appreciated that too, but no one did. So I think it’s important to listen to what Iranian people actually want ❤️

Most Iranians currently inside Iran have told their friends and relatives abroad that, God forbid, if they die during this war, the reason is the Islamic Republic, not the USA or Israel. I understand that non-Iranians have the right to feel bad about this war. That’s normal. Wars are scary. I’m worried about my family inside Iran too. But I know many of them are relieved that this is happening, because living under the Islamic Republic has been worse.

Non-Iranians don’t understand what it feels like to live under this brutal regime. For 47 years, they have killed, executed, tortured, and raped Iranian people. It’s time for them to be gone. My people tried to do this on their own. They went to the streets and were met with guns. The result was massacre. So many believe we have no choice but to ask for help from other countries to remove the Islamic Republic so Iran can finally be free, so the blood of the children, men, and women who fought for freedom will not be in vain.

We are not pro-Trump or pro-Israel. If, for example, a country like Finland had said they would help remove this regime and free Iranian people, we would have supported Finland too. This is not about supporting a country. It’s about supporting freedom.

Some Western leftist media/ figures refuse to support the ongoing revolution in Iran because they believe regime change would benefit the US and Israel. But what if I told you it benefits Iranian people?

We are against the Islamic regime. We want secularism. That is the one thing uniting everyone in the streets. We come from different backgrounds and groups, and we may have different visions for Iran’s future, but we are united against this regime.

This is not new. We have risen up before — in 2009, 2019, 2022, and many times before that.

The Islamic regime has killed more people in three days than Israel has killed in twelve days in Iran. You must understand: the Islamic regime is the enemy of Iranian people too. This regime is killing people to survive, accusing protestors of being connected to Israel or the US, while they are all Iranians demanding freedom.

It has been almost two days the internet was cut off in Iran. The last time this happened, during the bloody November of 2019, the regime killed 1,500 people within 3 days in silence.

They said it was a political slogan, that it was about war, that it wasn’t allowed. I translated it for them word for word — no, it’s a political slogan. I’ll say something that might sound controversial, but this whole situation with the 2026 Olympics increasingly reminds me of how Ukrainians were treated during the Soviet Union, when any Ukrainian position was banned and there were always “reasons” given: it discriminates against others, it violates equality, it makes Russians uncomfortable — meaning, ahem, it’s chauvinism, it’s an expression of aggressive Ukrainian nationalism, and so on.

And while on one side there is pressure from the International Olympic Committee, on the other side additional organizations get involved — institutions where, much like in key Soviet structures, Ukrainians simply are not represented. Yet it isn’t difficult to understand who is represented there, and with what views toward us — and this time it is the International Skating Union (ISU).

Ukrainian athletes are currently being treated like dissidents within a hostile system, where any position is seen as a protest. And so we see a similar dissident behavior from Ukrainians like quickly pinned notes with words written on their palms.

So I’m just waiting for the infamous words to be said:

This is exactly what happened here.

After all, Ukrainians breathing and being alive does make russians feel negative emotions (since they want Ukrainians to not exist), and obviously those feelings are way more important than the lives of millions of Ukrainians.
