almost everything men say they love about their culture is actually reliant on the labour of women. that’s why it’s so easy for them to feel proud and protective over it. taking care of elders and not putting them in care homes? the care is always done almost exclusively by female family members. the yummy traditional food? cooked by women. the fun events and gatherings? organised and hosted by the women. men love taking credit for their culture but in reality they barely participate in the actual hard work, they just get to sit back and enjoy all the benefits of it. it’s a scam 🤷🏻‍♀️

one of my favorite hobbies is not being a parent

I have kind of a niche political view on tumblr, which is that I think misogyny is bad even when it’s just hurting women

and I don’t even think it needs to have a singular benefit for men for feminism and the abolition of patriarchy to be worthwhile

in fact the abolition of patriarchy could be a net loss for men and I would still think that feminism and the abolition of patriarchy was worth it

Since that day, my family and I have been living in a tattered tent that offers no protection from the bitter cold of winter or the scorching heat of summer. Two years of continuous suffering under this worn-out fabric that neither shelters our bodies nor provides any shelter for our family. Today, I appeal to you with all my pain and suffering, asking for your support and assistance so that we can repair our tent and obtain food and water.
