I’ve gotta do the same whenever I’ve got time! I see so many people hyping it up and going on and on about how good it is, but I haven’t seen any of it! I’m a Shondaland fan so..I feel like it’s something I’ve got to do at this point. Have you ever been to those little..ball events I hear that pop up every so often in some cities? I feel like this would be the perfect chance to dive into that whole world.

You have to! It’s so, so good. Maybe I’m biased, but I think it’s a universal opinion that Shonda can do no wrong. No! What? I’ve never even heard of those - they just go around having full on balls? I just got so excited - I don’t know what the criteria is or if there is any, but I feel like I need to look into this some more.

Thank you, gorgeous, just so you know I am going to be moving to New York next month.  I have decided to keep my house in Los Angeles so when I am needed in California I can stay there.  I think we all feel that way even the people who are apartment of the family via Netflix with shows like Bridgerton and Inventing Anna.  I was not able to send your greetings to the boys for their birthdays, I know they felt the love on Saturday though.  Will you be here in Los Angeles for the next couple weeks?  

I’m so excited for you! You’re going to love it. Smart choice, keeping both the places - I did the same thing. It definitely seems to be a universal feeling within the Shonda universe - although I can’t speak for everyone. Oh, that’s alright! I’m sure they were showered with plenty of love all around. You bet! I’m parked right here until further notice. 

you know what’s weird? i can’t seem to trust shonda because of the stuff she did on grey’s anatomy, i don’t want to watch any other show of her because i can’t trust her. is that bad? it probably is, i should give her another shot. i’ll think about it.

No! Taron! Give her another shot. It’s so worth it, I promise! Watch Bridgerton. Watch How to Get Away with Murder. But...you know...watch Scandal most of all.

How awful is it I am so behind in my streaming and watching too. But yes I have seen the stunning costumes and wardrobe and definitely love a good dress. I don’t think I could do the whole garter thing though and be comfortable.

It happens to the best of us! Life gets in the way. They were definitely not dressing for comfort back then, that’s for sure - but it really is something to get to look at it all!

I usually do the same thing with reading the books first. Though I heard about the show when everyone was freaking out about it after the premiere. So I figured I’d jump into the show and pretend the books didn’t exist. Little did I know, I’d watch the show and then need more information on their stories. I feel like the discomfort would be worth it. Let’s try to sneak onto Bridgerton! Truly though! Any show or movie is automatically better with attractive people with nice accents. I’m very lucky in the fact that I married a Brit, so sometimes I just sit in silence at family events and let them all talk around me. It’s incredibly entertaining. 

Right! I mean, when everybody’s talking about it, sometimes you’ve just gotta go see what’s going on and worry about the book later. Everybody says read the book first, but it is kind of neat that if you read it last you’ve got all this extra information on everybody. It’s like you’re being let in on a secret. The discomfort would be so worth it! No pain, no gain. I’m completely ready to sneak in - just say the word! You did get lucky there. They just make words sound so much prettier.

Well, you could say that it has been quite a dramatic day. I was looking after one of my granddaughter, Ida. That wasn’t the dramatic part. We went and done shopping and this woman’s car decided to just stop working. That wasn’t all. I go and call for help and can’t get any signal. When someone does notice that the car has broken down, they come over to see and are like…your Meryl Streep. Don’t get me wrong, I have had that reaction plenty of times. But I live in LA. I know I am not the only famous person around these parts. Ida was also getting fussy. Thankfully, after the car getting sorted out, still not even sure what went wrong, we managed to get home, minus some ice lollies that pretty much melted during all that drama. Please tell me you haven’t been through as much drama.

What an adventure that must’ve been! Poor Ida must’ve been so confused. It’s so tricky when things like that happen and you’ve already got a lot going on. But I can imagine how strange it must’ve been for that woman to have Meryl Streep show up to save the day! I mean, there’s famous and then there’s you. I’m glad everybody was able to get home in one piece - aside from the poor popsicles. 

i made a promise to myself this year that i was going to work on getting over some of my fears and it’s going horribly. first fear i tried to conquer? june bugs. tried to peacefully co-exist with one while outside and i failed. that thing flew into my hair and had me crying in ten seconds. second fear? going into my garage at night. this is more so me being a paranoid freak, but still haven’t been able to bring myself to do it. whatever i need can wait until the morning. third fear? water slides. i can’t shake the feeling that i’m going to get stuck in them. plus, has anyone seen that movie ‘aquaslash’? because no thank you. the list is pretty long and all kinds of stupid so this is where i shut my mouth about it. anyone else got some irrational fears they want to share? because i’m all ears. no judgement. maybe. / @hfrpstarters​

That was a solid New Year’s Resolution, though! At least you gave it a shot - a lot of people don’t even get that far. Myself included! I have to ask - did the fear of June bugs start for any reason specifically, or were they something that always spooked you? They are a little bit scary looking! The garage thing I completely understand - you always feel like the girl in the horror movie. I haven’t seen the water slide movie, but now I feel like I shouldn’t! You’re giving me a lot to think about. I’ve always had a massive fear of sharks, but I feel like that one’s justified - they’re the perfect killing machines.

i feel like i have just woken up from the biggest dream of my life. for those of you who don’t know, i’m Joey, my birthday was on Saturday and i just turned the big twenty three. i know that’s not a super important birthday or anything but i sincerely don’t think i’ve slept since Friday night. i’ve been going going and going since i got up Saturday morning and i don’t think i have to explain to anyone what that feels like. if you don’t know it feels like i’ve been hit, smacked and run over by a Mack Truck seven times. i think i finally got about an hour and a half of sleep collectively last night and i’m surviving on coffee and energy drinks right now just to hold my eyes open. mind you, this is after i’ve come off of promoting my two new movies and working on those two new movies for the last year and a half almost two years. so i am beyond tired right now. needless to say after i’m done with my day today if you don’t hear from me for the next few days i’m probably not dead just in a sleeping pill induced coma because i have got to sleep for like ten days straight and then maybe i’ll get my life back together. this is a terrible time to not be able to fall asleep at night. i need a nap. | @hfrpstarters​

Well, first off, happy belated birthday, beauty! Wow, I can’t remember the last time I voluntarily stayed up for a stretch of time that long. I don’t have it in me anymore. Was it worth it, at least? I hope you had an incredible time and I hope you’ve been able to squeeze a good, lengthy rest in after the big weekend! Those birthdays are memorable - if you don’t drink to the point where you don’t remember them - - but they sure do take it out of you. 

i don’t think it’s something that anyone will ever get used to. the fact that it’s some weird legal form of stalking is mind-blowing to say the least. does this mean all your experiences with them have been good so far? i hope it stays that way. bold? possibly. it was a short walk between trailers so i think it was more so me just being lazy. do it. do something entirely out of the norm and throw them off. 

It is a very strange thing! It’s not something you really ever learn how to deal with. I mean, for the most part, I try to be kind and let them do what they came to do, and they’re usually pleasant back to me - which is nice. But I have heard some scary stories! Have they ever been pushy with you?

anyone ever wish it was possible to just text your dog and tell them why you’re running late or explain why you’re not home? because i feel so much dog dad guilt every time i have to leave Nash when i’m working and i wish it was possible to communicate with him in a language he’d understand. and before you ask, yes i’m one of those weirdos, that use baby talk with their dog and whose every conversation eventually turns into dog talk. i’m in Rome currently on a combined work/pleasure trip and i would appreciate everyone telling me everything about your dog as a way to distract me from how much i miss mine. i’m troye and my life revolves around my dog and no, i have no regrets about it at all. | @hfrpstarters​

Gosh, I sure do. Luckily, I’ve got a little one, so he can come a lot of the places the bigger ones normally can’t go - but it never does get any easier when I do have to leave him. What’s your pup’s name? If it counts for anything, I’m sure he’d be very proud of you if he could talk! I’ve got a little merle Pomeranian named Razor - I rescued him a few years back and he’s just the absolute best. I’m with you! No regrets.

yale is pretty good too! it’s a top school! usually people don’t get into those schools unless they are very smart.

sometimes i forget that paparazzi are a thing. which, you know, is rather easy when your only claims to fame are a few disney movies and some raunchy HBO show but that doesn’t stop them from snapping a few photos when i’m in my own little world and decide to exit my trailer in nothing but a pair of underwear and boots, gold robe all open for everything to hang out and be snapped. was it intentional? no. did i still get an earful from my mom about it? yes. can’t say i’m embarrassed though. i was in the fuckin’ moment. however, enough about that — what’s the most embarrassing thing the paparazzi have ever caught you doing? i wanna hear all the ‘celebrities - they’re just like us!’ moments that got blown up.  / @hfrpstarters​

The paparazzi have always been tricky for me - I’ve been in the industry for many years, but I didn’t really start having them pay any attention to me until a few years ago. It’s a weird thing to adapt to! You can recognize it as a sign that you’re doing well, I guess, but no matter which way you spin it it’s just a  strange thing as a human to have people following you around. But that was a bold move, paparazzi or no paparazzi! I don’t think they’ve caught me doing anything weird - maybe I need to step up my game.

I was so hooked. I actually found myself screaming at the TV at some of the things that were happening and I don’t remember the last show that got that out of me. Oh my gosh, I know. When I was on my show I got scared to get a script every week in case they wanted some big twist that had me out of there.

There’s nothing like when a show does that to you! Sometimes they’re just such an emotional rollercoaster that you can’t sit still. Oh, gosh - I know that feeling. We had a cast member on Scandal who would always flip to the last page at every table read to make sure his character was still alive!
