Japan is known to have the latest advances in technology, including trends that may even seem out of a science fiction movie. Since the late 2000's, there has been a growing trend of virtual concerts, in which the virtual avatars of singers are projected onto a stage in the form of three-dimensional images, being especially popular in Asia. More recently it has begun to also show up in North America, having virtual performances by artists, including Virtual Japanese pop star Hatsune Miku, who performed live on The Late Show With David Letterman. As we all know, the sword that Cloud cares on his back is not only bad-ass, but a symbol of power and strength. Many fictional heroes, especially in anime have been drawn wielding an over-sized sword as their main weapon of choice. It can be seen in game or in the films, that Cloud easily swings and twirls around his enormous buster sword in hand, but how practical would his sword be in real life?

The Assassin's Creed games have been so successful based on stealthiness and effective weaponry. The lead character has always worn a hidden blade in every new version of the series. The spring-loaded knife attaches under the forearm with a leather brace and pops out assassinate the desired victim.

Master armorer Tony Swatton, who has a YouTube series called, Man at Arms has created a real life design based from a toy version of the hidden blade. He started by reverse-engineering the toy to determine the size and how the mechanism works. Be sure to also check out this Assassins Creed parkour run in the street of Paris.

The actual blade is made from steel cable, that turns the soft like metal into a sharp, dangerous blade. The biggest challenge was crafting a spring mechanism that wouldn't just send the blade shooting out like a ballistic weapon. The hidden arm blade has long been a staple of Assassins Creed's historical fiction, and finally fans get to see a real life version at work.

As an outgrowth of photorealism, hyperrealism is a relatively new school of painting that creates the illusion that you're actually looking at a photo. While photorealist painters tend to imitate photographic images and will consciously omit details, the hyperreal painter is more literal, incorporating photographic limitations such as depth of field, perspective and focus. Notable instances about this fight include Abdul-Jabbar’s massive footprint on Lee’s chest and the steady back and forth throughout the whole encounter. It’s undoubtedly an exciting match up, of someone who is almost twice the sice of Bruce, but the difference make the fight and the visuals more refined.

The Big Boss (1971) – Final Fight with Jackie Chan Stuntman

This was one of the fights, that truly helped show Lee's stylistic side, and while the very final battle wasn't as impressive as the first, with the russian. It’s still fast-paced and a challenge with a younger Lee fighting the more experienced and sword wielding crime boss. A little known fact is that Jackie Chan doubles as the crime boss at the final end kick where Bruce sends the boss flying out the window.

The Way of the Dragon (1972) – Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris

It's an epic fight that is long and taxing on both fights. As you see in the fight Lee’s use of the Ali shuffle and a calculated barrage of fast, direct, Wing Chun-style short range strikes and sweeping roundhouses with the occasional power sidekick was enough to eventually wear down Chuck Norris. It is a known fact that even Chuck himself admits, Bruce Lee is the only one who is tougher than him. And in perfect form, the man now known as the Father of MMA ends the fight with a fatal choke hold.

Jackie Chan VS Benny the Jet Urdiquez

If you have never heard of Benny the Jet Urdiquez or have never seen this action scene, you absolutely need to check out Wheels on Meals, a classic Jackie Chan film that truly propelled him into the limelight as an action star! Over the years, Jackie's spectacular stunts and mishaps have also become a trademark known to come up at the end credits. Some of Jackie Chan's top stunts and mishaps can be seen here. 

The blonde guy is Benny the Jet Urdiquez , one of the pioneers of martial arts and the man who created the term kickboxing when asked about his fighting methods. He is called the Jet because blowing out the candles from a kick was real, not a special effect, as you will see in the fight scene. The man himself comes from a karate background and many believe to be the inspiration for Ken from the Street Fighter franchise. 

There have been rumors for that scene that Benny had hit Jackie for real a few times during the scene, and Jackie warned him he would never work in this business again if he kept doing it. This eventually lead to a hyped up a real life fight between them for charity. Unfortunately, it never went through.
