Top 5 Independent Stars WWE Must Bring Into WWE ID
I’m making another top 5 list, because I’ve honestly been having a lot of fun with them. We’re doing Elton John this time so here we go:
1. Crocodile Rock- I absolutely love this song! I think it’s so fun and it honestly makes me so happy when I listen to it. I think the lyrics are honestly great and the piano is so good. When I was on holiday, there was an Elton John tribute act (he was so bad it was funny) and the only bit of this song he knew was the ‘LAAAAAA LA LA LA LA LAAAAAA’
2. Your Song- I think this song is so beautiful. I absolutely love Bernie and Elton as a songwriting duo, and I think that this song really highlights the talents of both of them. My favourite scene in Rocketman is when Elton is composing the song and Bernie runs down the stairs to hear it. It’s so cute. The lyrics to this are so lovely, and my favourite is ‘I hope you don’t mind that I put down into words how wonderful life is when you’re in the world’. Like ‘Love Of My Life’, if someone sang this to me I would burst into tears
3. Honky Cat- as the name suggests, the piano in this is quite honky tonk, which is a style of music I like. Once again I think the lyrics and instrumentals are really good. Overall, peak song. I also really like the part in Rocketman when they sing this (I HATE JOHN REID THOUGH…)
4. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road- this is a lyrics one for me. The lyrics really resonate with me, as it’s about change. It’s about saying goodbye to something, and maybe finding a new path to the one you have been following. And that really hits deep with me. I also love the piano in this one
5. Rocketman- this one tells such a great story. It’s another one of those songs I can see in my head. I love Elton’s voice in this one, especially the way the pitch matches the lyrics, like in the line ‘I’m gonna be high’ when his voice gets higher.
Honourable mentions include:
I’m Still Standing- how could you not love this one? It’s got such a nice message, and I really like how Elton released it after going through such a difficult time in his life.
The Bitch Is Back- this song is so me core. That’s it
That’s all for this one! I really enjoy making these, but I only have a few more bands I can do! I might do ABBA next but lemme know what you think!
