I’m not trying to diminish anyone’s feelings or upset at the finale, but I wanted to point out what Jason Ralph said on twitter
While many of us feel that Quentin’s death was a blatant suicide, I want every one to try and think about it the way Jason did when acting the scene. Quentin’s deep rooted selfhatred is what led him to ask “did I sacrifice myself for my friends or finally find a way to kill myself?” As soon as he realized he was dead all he saw in his mind was mistakes.
This doesn’t fix the problems with this season. I’m still just as furious about the queerbaiting and death of such a representative character to not only the LGBT community but also to those with depression/anxiety/mental health issues. I know there is still so much fucked up shit to be mad about, but I think we all need to take a step back and breathe for a moment.
Boycotting next season won’t fix this, it will just cause the other actors who we love and support to suffer and potentially lose their jobs.
