Not that I actually desire in any way for Ao3 to be more like social media, but it would be cool if there was something like reactions after a fic. Being able to use any emoji feels like too much, but maybe like 5ish buttons at the bottom of every fic where you can punch in your feelings right after reading. Like "liked it", "loved it", "emotional", "confused", something like that. Maybe a little more pointed, idk.

Any genuine attempt to add something like that would probably end up going horribly wrong, and definately push the website as a whole in a bad direction, so I'm not THAT attached to the idea.

I'm just addicted like nothing else to hearing people's reactions to my fanfic and commenting is too intimidating for most people and I WANNA KNOW I NEED TO KNOW PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

this is the first time writing for this fic has felt like it's gonna be WORK. not that that's a bad thing, I'm genuinely so thrilled that I have ideas with scope at all. but I WANT TO BE WRITING ALL THE COOL SHIT NOW I HAVE TO DO DRAFTS AND PLANNING AND NARRATIVE STRUCTURE SO ALL THE COOL PARTS ACTUALLY HIT.

The craziest part is I feel like I can actually do it. With how much I still need to get through, I'm probably surpassing 50,000 words total, but we'll see. It's my dream to write a story over 100,000 words long someday.
