I don't care if you don't like them as these characters. I don't care if you don't like the characters themselves.

Let's be better than that.

please do be upset/disappointed/angry that they did not cast a plus-size actor to play a plus-size character. the addition of more poc rep is good, but it does not negate loss of plus-size rep, and that's perfectly understandable to be unhappy about.

just please, do not blame the poc actor for taking a job that was offered to him. a job that i believe he will take on with a lot of care and heart.

i repeat. this is not an excuse to go after yet another poc actor. that's been done enough w this show already. the producers and casting directors have made this decision, and you can decide they're wrong and blame them if you want, but it is not the fault of the actor and there is no reason to make them the subject of your frustration. 'they should have known better than to take the role' is a fair thing to bring up in a good number of cases. but this is a poc that is going to portray a gay character. remember that is something that still takes courage to do, knowing the compounding discrimination that can come from that, and consider that in any instance that is something to admire and respect.
