I'm sorting these by tone, but because this is me reccing Astarion fics you gotta set your expectations accordingly. I'm considering something light if it's generally positive and ends happily and doesn't like, contain scenes of graphic rape or torture. But most of those are still going to have references to it, possibly minor dubcon, hurt/comfort, etc. Dark is for misery the whole way through, bad endings, terrible things as the focal point, etc. Medium is for a combination, like some on screen horrors or heavy angst before a happily ever after.
Any author mentioned here is worth checking out - I'm deliberately skipping around and trying not to devour a good author's entire output instantly because I don't want to run out of fic too quickly lol.
