Someone in a local pet rehoming group rehoming their golden with pica and they list MANY things this dog has eaten and state they need to rehome her with someone that can provide constant supervision.

A lady was killed by dogs on a reserve not too far from me. She was apparently a "canine advocate" and had illegally entered the reserve to retrieve dogs and was attacked and killed by aggressive rez dogs (she entered outside of hours she was allowed to for retrieving dogs and also did not have permission to retrieve any dogs at that time).

I have gotten into the habit of taking our board and train dog for walks every afternoon, since her owners aren't coming back for her and we are going to try to rehome her ourselves so sbe really doesn't get a ton of attention right now, and yesterday we were rushed by a German Shepherd. Now, as I watched this dog, who was easily 8x the size of our board and train, come barreling toward us my mind went through all the worst case scenarios. I thought, surely, someone was going to get bit/mauled/injured in some way. Except nobody got hurt!! This dog bowled her over and chased for half a second and then was caught by his people. The board and train didn't even flinch. She was entirely unbothered. It was like nothing happened at all. Completely unphased!! This dog, who I have been told will attack other dogs AT RANDOM. Okay. So. I am wondering what the FUCK. I have heavily suspected since before I even met this dog that the issue was resource guarding. And honestly I think I am right. I haven't seen her instigate with anyone and didn't see any of the incidents she has had here, but I so wish I could see it unfold. Dogs don't just randomly attack other dogs. And if she doesn't even CARE when a dog much larger than her literally rushes her and runs her right over then what the fuck is happening when she DOES react and bite???
