Your grandparents’ tv is made of wood, has an accordion door that covers the screen, and knobs that skip over channels more often than they tune into them.

You love the library. You b-line for the horror section every time you visit.

There’s something inside you. Some strange yearning. The trees call you. Red bricks feel homely. Tattered, cloth cover books hold forbidden secrets.

Why does her house feel Victorian? Why does it feel so familiar?
