Morrissey sat on the bed, scribbling some lyrics down in a little black journal; the pouring rain outside matching his cold demeanor. All he did was write about his emotions, and sometimes he felt those emotions were too personal. He thought the world had heard enough about his unrequited love for his best friend and bandmate, Johnny Marr.


     His thoughts of Johnny were interrupted by a knock at the door. He looked out his window to see the subject of his romantic pining standing outside his apartment. Morrissey tucked his journal underneath his mattress, just in case Johnny went looking for it.


     He went downstairs to open the door and was met by a cloud of smoke in his face. Johnny winced. “Sorry Moz,” he said, flicking the cigarette on the ground and smushing it into the concrete step below him. “I’m just a little worked up right now. Angie and I got into a fight. She wants to take a break.”


 Morrissey invited his good friend inside, and followed Johnny up into his bedroom. Johnny flopped onto the bed, tucking his knees under his chin and wrapping his arms around his shins. Morrissey sat gingerly on the very edge of the bed beside him, as if he was scared the sheets would yell out all of the things he would think about Johnny during the night.


     Morrissey watched Johnny’s lips as he rambled on about his relationship problems, but Morrissey was doing anything but listening. His mind wandered as he started to think about the things he would love to do with his best friend. He thought about the years of happiness they could have together, if only he wasn’t such a pussy. If anything, now was his chance.


     He took a deep breath and leaned in, kissing Johnny and cutting him off mid-sentence. To Morrissey’s surprise, Johnny kissed back.


 Johnny pushed all thoughts of Angie to the back of his mind. Maybe this would be good for him. He needed something different, something new and exciting. And besides that, it couldn’t be cheating if they were on a break. Johnny could never be in love with another man, much less his best friend! This was good, he just needed to relieve some tension, that’s all. Johnny pressed into the kiss, becoming more and more needy as it went on.


     Morrissey couldn’t believe it. Was his seemingly unrequited love actually reciprocated? He needed Johnny more than he needed air. Johnny intensified the kiss while trailing his hand down Morrissey’s chest and down to the bulge in his jeans. He squeezed, making Morrissey moan into his mouth.  Morrissey stared at his lover, eyes glistening with tears. “I need you too,” he whispered back, pulling Johnny in for another kiss. Johnny slowly unbuttoned Morrissey’s shirt, taking his time to feel every inch of exposed skin. Once Morrissey’s shirt was off, he pulled off his own shirt.


 Morrissey made quick work of Johnny’s pants and underwear, leaving his partner exposed. He sank down, pressing kisses along Johnny’s hip bones and lower stomach. He took Johnny’s cock in his hand, stroking it a few times before looking up at Johnny for consent. Johnny nodded softly and intertwined his fingers in his friend’s hair.      Johnny wished more than anything that he could say it back, but the reality of the situation had come to mind and the guilt was setting in. What would he tell Angie? Could she ever take him back after this?

“I know,” was the only response he could muster.

Dennis rolls over, picking up the pack of cigarettes from his nightstand. He delicately pulls one out and places it in his mouth before setting the rest of them down. He reaches for his silver Zippo, flicking it open and then on. He hovers the flame under the cigarette until it catches. He flicks the lighter shut and tosses it aside. As he takes a long drag, you take note of his hands and his long slender fingers. You turn your attention to his hair, disheveled yet still sexy. His beachy waves frame his face just right. He really is gorgeous. He exhales more smoke, his lips in a perfect o shape. He notices you staring and turns to you. You snap out of your thoughts.
