6 Gentle Peck.

It was a little pack in the soup kitchen tonight. Almost the whole troop of Dauntless marched into the kitchen and watched everyone with hawk-like eyes, making several people very uncomfortable. Some of the small children even started to whimper at one stage. One of the grubby looking boy promptly dropped his food plate and smashed it into thousand pieces. Scared, the poor thing sniffled and was readied to burst into tears. Hidden in the dimmer shadows, she clenched her bowl as she watched some of the faction members bent down and tried to calm the little one. One of them bent down to tidy up the smashed china. A small flinch of her body let her know the woman had cut her finger.

She gnawed her lower lip.

Should she go over to help?

After a moment’s hesitation, she ducked out of her spot and headed to the Dauntless group. She stopped before the other woman and knelled down, taking hold of her hand. Ignoring the protest and other’s glare, she began to take out her simple kit and patch the cut up. When finished, she even went as far as giving the hand a gentle peck.
