75% of people with my condition (nearly all women) die by suicide.
I will not meet that end.
If only out of spite I will make them suffer my wrath until my natural life ends.
If I am suffering, so must they.

I feel like shit. It hurts to wear headphones.
I am having my 3rd brain surgery THIS YEAR and I’m still trying to act like this is normal. I’m still going to school, I’m still functioning. The dishes have to be done by SOMEONE, sometimes life can suck absolute ASS but the laundry will sit there and stare back at you until you spend the spoons to do it. I can’t always push past the pain of my rare neurological condition but I am slowly learning it’s not always worth it to push either. Sigh.
if USPS has a million fans, I'm one of them
if USPS has 5 fans, I'm one of them
if USPS has 1 fan, that is me
if USPS has no fans, I'm no longer alive
if the world is against USPS I'm against the entire world
till my last breath I support USPS
I joke but actually USPS is the literal lifeline for so many housebound disabled people who receive lifesaving medications through it- especially housebound people in rural areas. so many private shipping companies do not serve rural areas. try getting anyone else to drive hours into the middle of nowhere to deliver. try it. not all disabled people live in urban areas. USPS saves disabled lives ‼️ without USPS many housebound disabled people will die.
USPS is a disability rights issue
"everyone should care about accessibility because most people will become disabled at some point in their life" is a logical argument and I understand its popularity
however, everyone should care about accessibility because disabled people are fellow human beings living in the same society as you who deserve the same rights as you
thank you good night

me when my disabilities disable me:
sexism in medicine kills people. racism in medicine kills people. fatphobia in medicine kills people. queerphobia in medicine kills people. classism in medicine kills people. ableism in medicine kills people.
do not downplay people’s fears about being mistreated because they are a part of a marginalised group. it is a matter of life and death and you should be angry about it.
i imagine being medicated would feel good as fuck. unfortunately i have to rawdog whatever's wrong with me
ahhhh the addictive longing to NOT be in pain 24/7 lol
what an idea
Despite popular opinion it’s the desire to not be in severe debilitating pain that’s addictive and not the narcotics. Fuck man, that hits.
It bothers me so much that the healthcare system relies so much on the patient's ability to advocate for themselves, organize their history, and be so persistent against every medical “professional” who says there’s nothing wrong/they can do. But so many struggle with fatigue, brain fog, and face such ingrained systemic barriers, that the people who need and deserve help and support can’t access it.
I saw something recently that resonated with me: “Access shouldn't depend on who has the energy to fight for it.” And I’ve never agreed with anything more.
This so much. I'm tired. Six years of trying to get help and the only professional that's helped me is a friend that sent me a study about how antihistamines can help folks with long covid. All the ER visits, all the doctor visits were for nothing.
Idk what person with chronic illness needs to hear this, but you can do things to make your responsibilities nicer for yourself. You can get an ice cream after a blood draw. You can sit down for tv time after an injection. You can pick out the bandaids that have cartoon characters on them instead of the plain ones. Being an adult doesn’t stop you from benefiting from encouragement. Go for whatever fits with your routine/abilities/budget and makes life a little better. A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down etc etc

hey fun fact, disabled people with bad relationships with their parents often don't get to leave those relationships.
when you are reliant on your parents for care, the amount you can do to stop them from treating you like shit, yelling at you for asking them for help etc. is very minimal.
even if you have never had a good relationship with them, if they are extremely abusive, in this world where disabled people are left to fend for themselves in fucked situations, we often don't get to leave the relationships that harm us and many of the community die because of that.
we don't get to leave our abusers because we rely on them for care and they hold that above us.
I find it very offensive that the more unwell you are, the more things you have to do to maintain your health. Things like following special diets, going to medical appointments, making big and important decisions about what treatments to use. At the same time, the more unwell you are the less energy you have to do all of these extra things. It seems grossly unfair.
because these books are coming out soon i peaked my dash, and wow. is this the trash fire we're getting treated to until release day when everyone reverses their opinion and says "i never shipped g/wynr/el" ?
because i'm keeping receipts and when yall do that reversal i'm going to be ready. this ship has been coming for four books and because you listened to this soggy fandom biscuit (y@z) you're getting pissed because the evidence is mounting against y'all.
this post is not at anyone in specific besides she-who-shall-not-be-named. this post is calling out fandom hypocrasy. don't clown on this post, thanks.
Please stop talking about characters as if they are real people… it’s giving creepy energy.
I have been working on a fic :eyes:
