Damien didn't actually become a tyrant abusive to his childhood friend who he later executed. It was just a nightmare.

Avior wasn't really thrown into an in-between place again with Starlight, and was the vessel this time.

Sam didn't actually become a cold dentist who later makes Damien lick his dirty boots.

Lasko absolutely woke up in a cold sweat.

Freelancer didn't really have to experience all their friends being creeps and bigots, except for Gavin who stays by their side even in the nightmare world.

Angel didn't actually join a rebellion against their king husband and got executed for it (though they'd do it in a heartbeat)

Meanwhile, some random dreamwalks are highly confused and horrified by this weird nightmare epidemic. (Actually, imagine if it turned out Echo was some dreamwalker that used people's minds and fears as his personal theaters)

Though that would also mean like some would talk with their partners, realize they shared a dream, and then ask around. Shaw pack talking with their mates, then the mates mention it to each other. D.A.M.N crew all realizing they shared a dream.
